Gerber started in 1939 when Portland's own Joe Gerber turned his ad agency into a kitchen knife company. Over the past 85 years, we've made knives and tools in our Portland Factory that have become legends in their own right. We proudly provide knives and multi-tools for soldiers on the front lines and make essential gear for hunters, anglers, adventurers, and trade workers alike. To this day and for the future to come, we continue to engineer and manufacture innovative, functional, and dependable tools right here in the USA.
