Having a capable blade in your pocket at all times is part of being prepared. Pocket-size and utilitarian by design, the Moment Pocket Knife is an everyday carry blade designed to complement your larger, more task-specific hunting knives. This handy Gerber knife is slim in profile and big on small details that make a difference in its performance and feel.
SLENDER PROFILE, SMOOTH ENGAGEMENT
The slender stainless handle is well matched to its 3-inch drop point blade and, when closed, the knife slips naturally into your pocket. At only 2.5 ounces—half the weight of most smartphones—it won’t weigh you down either. The blade’s smooth engagement matches the refined look of the knife’s glass bead finish and clean, modern styling. Plus, it makes it easy to open and put to use for anything from cutting rope to gutting a fish.
THE RIGHT DETAILS
Gerber’s decades of know-how designing knives shine in the clean simplicity of this folder’s features. A rubber inlay molded into the all-stainless design gives positive grip. Dual thumb studs allow for one-handed blade opening, while the otherwise clean handle offers a modest guard and useful thumb pad on the spine. Add a nicely machined frame lock, and you’ve got a blade that stays put for routine and unforeseen tasks.
REMOVABLE POCKET CLIP
At exactly 4 inches long when closed, this knife is an easy addition to your daily wardrobe. Use the stout stainless steel clip to keep it securely accessible at the top of your favorite pocket, or remove it for a less-is-more approach.
Bought it for 329 SEK, and it is everything I expect from a knife in this size.
The frame lock is very tight, so there is no chance the blade will slide out unintended. The clacking sound when the knife opens is loud, and I like it. It means to me that this knife won't close during hard use.
Steel handles gets very cold during autumn/winter, but they will hold for everything I use this knife for (carving and cutting tasks, and sometimes small prying tasks).
The choil at the base of the blade is both practical and nice looking.
I own several products from Gerber, and this one is one of my favorites.
Factory edge was not as good as I wanted it to be (nothing wrong with the angle), but after some light polishing it got razor sharp.
Perfect for using in the Swedish enviroment.
This was my first knife and i had it for a year before i lost it, overall its a great knife very sturdy, the pocket clip is pretty strong for how thin it is, the only problem i have with the knife is how big the blade lock is, it's way thicker than it needs to be and can be difficult to close for younger kids (like myself, i'm 14 and find it difficult sometimes) other than the lock i love the knife and will probably buy another
...after cycling accident - ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET - THAT'S WHY I'M STILL HERE!
Great knife although it hasn't been put to serious use yet. Bought from a UK retailer who also engraved/etched the blade with the requested name. Like the feel, weight and look. Not sure about the clip though - might remove that if it starts to get in the way during use.
Had mine for about a year now, works great. The frame lock is super sturdy. Can be a bit difficult to deploy but as it's not used by me as a self defense knife, it's irrelevant. Holds it's edge as it should. 9/10 for the price range.
I'm a laboratory technician in a soils testing lab in New Zealand. I find the knife very useful for everyday tasks like cutting open heavy duty plastic sample bags and using as a scraper at times. Down to 4 stars as the Packet says its made in China :(
