Multi-Plier 600 - Needlenose Stainless w/ Carbide Insert Cutters, Sheath
We can think of about 600 reasons why this much-applauded multi-tool belongs on your belt. But don't worry, well just stick to the most important ones here. Like profound versatility, for example. And fail safe performance. And a level of rock-solid design and construction that pleases the eye and satisfies the soul.
It all begins with high quality stainless steel. Then we incorporated Gerber's patented one-handed opening pliers. Top that off with our patented replaceable tungsten carbide wire cutters. When the cutters become dull or misshapen simply rotate the tungsten carbide cutters 120-degrees, and you've got yourself a good-as-new wire cutter. After three rotations, the entire cutter can be replaced.
You'd be hard pressed to find a more rugged or more fearless multi-tool out there. But go ahead and look around a bit. See what you think. Then come on back to Gerber and pick the Multi-Plier 600 that truly suits your needs. We're building plenty.

I've had 2 of thes bad boys. I carry my current one with me everyday. It's rough, tough, and basically a Terminator except for the carbide cutters and the needle nose dont match up anymore. Other than those 2 pronlems I love it!
Multi - Pliers Needle-nose..............Use it all the time most valued tool in the box, but it is very accessible on my belt. My delivery partner is always asking to use it.......he now has his own. this tool is over 12 years old and preforms like new..............
Good tool. Carbide cutters are pretty worthless. They break really easy. The cutters are the first thing to wear out and replaceable ones are a good idea but they should be more durable than the carbides.
The file is top notch and the blades are good as well.
This is my third gerber multi-tool, and the first with the carbide inserts. I have had the current tool for one year and gone through 6 sets of cutters. The pliers is great and I have fixed more things than I could count. My old tools cutters were beat up and I thought the carbide would stand up better, but was wrong. Like Jim I will never have the carbide again.
Bought these to replace a well worn 400. Thought the carbides were a good idea, but they crack cutting things my 400 cut fine.
Love the tool, but I will never buy the carbides again. Wish I could get the non carbide jaws to replace mine.
I have the black version of this tool, bought a few years ago from a local tool shop in HK. Can't leave home without it, simply the best helper on the field.!
I have used a Gerber Multi-Plier for many years. I recently replaced my old non-locking version with the newer Multi-Plier 600 with the carbide inserts. This tool is used countless times each day. I have owned and used other manufacturers multi-tools and found them be inferior in both function and durability. Bottomline, there is not an equal to Gerber !
I'm a fishing guide on the Tidal Potomac River in Maryland. I own the MP 600 Fisherman version of this multi-tool. I use it every day and am lost if I leave home without it. I use it to remove hooks from fish, file dings out of my prop, sharpen hooks, crimp leaders, cut all kinds of line from mono to super braid to wire and a gazillion other tasks. It is the best designed most rugged tool I have found. I use it (abuse it would be more accurate) hard everyday. I've even managed to break it a couple of times and can say from first hand experience Gerber's warranty and customer service are the best there is. I heartily recommend you buy their products and use them hard. You will be impressed and happy you bought the very best.
