The Statesman leverages classic design and feel with modern performance and F.A.S.T. assisted opening mechanics. The surgical steel blade is super-strong and corrosion resistant and the wood inserts add that certain flare you dad would be proud of.
Just bought a Statesman Fast. In New Zealand at Blademaster.
Not sure whether or not its the real deal or a copy from China?
As good as apple pie...whatever that means
I recieved one of these as a gift a year ago. Carried it everyday and really liked it until it got lost camping. I bought another one to replace it and now the blade barely springs open and it doesn't even lock into place. Disappointed with the second knife and I wish I would have spent a little more money on the automatic knife I really wanted.
I owned this knife for almost a year before losing it and it was a sturdy knife that was nice to carry everyday. I had a couple of the wooden inlays fall out just a couple months after purchasing it. Fast draw is an excellent feature along with the lock.
Just got this knife the other day so this probably won't be a helpful reveiw. But so far i like the spring its alot stronger than my first fast knife the fast draw serrated of course this is also a brand new knife. I put it through the famed paper as well as the shave test and by far blew almost all of my knives out of the water so to me it is a great knife.
