The knife is great, holds an edge very well, it skinned and gutted two deer without resharpening, and is ergonomic and comfortable to use, BUT the sheath sucks! The rubber belt loop broke off the fourth time I used it. Gerber should really consider using better materials.

Bought this last year. Sheath broke right away. The knife is great though, gutted and skinned two mule deer and a cow last fall, held an edge well and if you take the time can put a nice edge on it. Good job Gerber ! PS. Fix your sheaths

Knife is fine but the sheath at belt loop came apart first time I put it on my belt. Bad design
or very poor product.

Just purchased the knife today. Brand new from bass pro shop. Decided to put it on my belt like any normal person would do. Low and behold I get out of my vehicle and the whole case drops to the ground. Come to find out the belt loop installed is absolutely the worse design I have ever seen. Why in the world would you use the crappiest rubber in the world. I have been buying gerbers for a very long time and I am absolutely disappointed. As for the knife it's ok kind of regret buying it since I have to put it in my pocket now.

Works great for gutting fish. Which I was not sure at first. But it surprised me. Turned out to be a great fit for me.
