The folding version of the original Vital Fixed Blade Knife, the ingenious Vital Pocket Folder EAB features one of the safest Exchange-A-Blade options on the market. A smart mash-up of a replaceable utility blade with a high-visual orange rubber handle that won’t quit, this knife travels to the field and on the hunt with ease.
SIMPLE AND FAST
The innovative marriage of Gerber’s hunting savvy along with our exchangeable razor blade history has given birth to the Vital Pocket Folder EAB. Containing a punishingly sharp blade that mimics a surgical knife, the ingenious tool cuts through the cape of your game like a hot blade through butter. The inclusion of its several replacement blades means you won’t get caught in the middle of skinning with a dull tool. This is a knife that works fast and smart, and when the blade is burned out, can be replaced easily on the fly. It requires no extra tools for its blade replacement, so it doesn’t slow the action of field dressing, while offering super-safe operation as an exchangeable blade knife.
STAINLESS STEEL STURDY
With a bright orange high-visual Vital handle it’s easy to spot this knife if you should drop it while out in the field. The Vital Pocket Folder’s large finger choil and larger width give it a solid, comfortable grip. Functioning beautifully in its simple role using utility blades that can be easily replaced as necessary, the Vital Pocket Folder EAB includes a #60 industry-standard attached razor blade and six #60 replaceable razor blades.
Split Sec™ Tech
The Vital series has one of the safest exchangeable blade systems on the market. The tool-less blade replacement keeps you ready in the field. Safe operation and precise utility are available at the push of a button.
The first elk this year I had my vital knife break on me. I don't usually send thins in for warranty or repair but this time I did I was extremely excited to get a knife back in time for my next hunt and it worked great skinning out my deer
I was unsure that this Gerber could be all that. I used this knife for the first time this weekend and I was totally amazed how this little knife worked. I have to say that using this it in the field made my field dressing a snap. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants a knife that works. GET YOURSELF ONE. THANKS GERBER,
So I recently purchased this knife cause i could not find the havalon knives answere around me, the quick release is just as good but the whole blade can't be used for deep cuts but that's fine i only purchased the knife to carry around for every day use but I have used it on deer squirrels rabbits and anything I kill and it does the job as good or better than any buck or skinning knife
Used mine for skinning big game, works awesome, best i ever used! Unfortunately mine broke but sent it in and within couple weeks got brand new one! Thanks Gerber!
took two nice deer this evening, a buck and a doe and used one vital #60 blade to skin and quarter both deer, when we finished the blade was still sharp. highly satisfied with this product and recommend this knife to everyone .
Awesome knife! I bought it cause I hate sharpening knives. I have to cut ropes and nylon straps through out my work day. Its just so nice to toss the blade and install a new in a matter of seconds. The blades last long and are incredibly sharp. My one complaint/ concern is where I can buy new blades.
Coastal Roosevelt elk are dirty. Add sand and mud to thick, course elf hair...knives require a lot of attention. Hunting in these conditions, I carry five sharp knives so I do not have to stop.
Last weekend as I tackled a heavy body cow elk (cow elk tag), my hunting partner took on an elk with the Gerber Vital. At first I snickered. No way this pocket folder would hold up. Dang nabbit if he didn't actually pass me in the skinning contest. In the end, I used three knives - all three needed attention upon return to civilization. My partner - twoVital blades...and the second blade was still sharp enough to shave arm hair.
I'll be buy a Vital in the near future.
