MEET GERBER
Honoring the late Colonel Rex Applegate, this first-class tactical folder is designed for close quarter combat situations. Unrivaled strength meets perfected balance in the form of a glass-filled nylon handle opposite a high-carbon stainless steel blade.
Details:

As legacies go, a man could do worse than being survived by the knife he designed. Such is the case with the late Colonel Rex Applegate who was one of this nations top authorities on close-quarters combat. The Applegate-Fairbairn Mini Covert stands with the Covert & Combat as lasting symbols of the Colonels dedication, expertise, and sense of purpose.
It should come as no surprise that these knives are known internationally as best-of-class among folding tactical knives. They've rightfully earned a reputation for unmatched strength, durability and balance. More than that, tactical professionals have high regard for the high-carbon stainless steel blade. The glass-filled nylon handles. The Covert and Combat have the patented roto-lock system.
Whether you choose the special operations black or the advanced camouflage green handles, they all come with the added convenience of a hearty pocket clip keeping the knife within easy reach.
Why do you feel it is necessary to have some sort of credentials in order to buy this knife from you? I can get this knife almost anywhere except the place where I should be able to receive it with the most honor. I have been buying your knives for nearly 50 years. Isn't that credentials enough? If you wish to reply to me, you can at (mesozoicman@hotmail.com)
overall a great little edc knife, i would prefer it in an assisted opening, or auto. i use it when im at home and when im out on the town. folders are not my idea of a good combat knife
This would be a good product if:
The clip had not fallen off because the cheap screws that fasten it to the frame fell out.
When it becomes wet or coated with (fluid) the channels in the plastic make it impossible to hold onto because they help create a layer of (fluid) around the handle. The handle is not tacky or abrasive in any way so it becomes super slick.
When twisted the handle/frame is so cheap that it bends.
This is a show knife and defiantly not something I would ever want to take into a fight. Show your friends you paid for a useless piece of junk - they will think you are cool. Try to use it for the intended function - and you will pay for it.
From the website you can't get this as a civilian, which I do find funny because I ordered mine back in the 90s and there was not questions asked if I belonged to any branch of service even it the time I was a petty officer.
ive had this knife,in black for over 15 years or so .its big but at 6'3" 300 lbs it suits me to a t .only thing I wished was that it would take a better edge. great knife great design.
bought this knife and I love it. i use it every day. its longer and has a thinner profile than im used to. i usually carry a DMF but this definitely replaced it. its light wait and sturdy. i love it!!!!!
I got this knife in December 06 and used everyday in all my duties while in deployment in Iraq. Even though I got out in 08 and work in the construction industry it is still by my side every day from cutting ducting, siltite flex conduit to striping wire to prying shingles this knife helds up its lasted 7 years so far and still in really good shape. I would truly recommend this knife. I've promised my son ill buy him one after he graduates from high school.
I HAVE OWNED MANY AUTO KNIVES AND THIS ONE IS AS GOOD AS THEY GET...TOUGH SHARP LIGHT AND FAST...YOU SHOULD BUY AT LEAST 1...
Bought the mini, covert, and combat folders while on civilian contractor duty in S. Korea. Go questioned at Inchon by customs, but was able to convince them I was legit. Best folders I've ever owned. Bought the coverts FAST; good knife.
SFC: WTF? Why did navy customs take your steel?
