INNOVATIVE SHEATH
The ever-evolving battlefield demands gear that keeps up, providing versatile and dependable tools built specifically for combat and survival situations. Gerber has been making survival knives for those who serve since 1966, rising to the challenge of honoring decades of experience while continuing to innovate.
Gerber’s StrongArm does just that: it is a classic fixed blade built for brute strength with a revolutionary sheath system that is the first of its kind. The multi-mount, snap-together sheath is easy to use and can be mounted vertically on MOLLE, horizontally on a belt, or in traditional drop-leg fashion.
Customizable to your needs in the field, the StrongArm is the smart evolution of the classic fixed blade.
TRADITIONAL DROP-LEG
The Strongarm can be carried traditionally on the hip with a snap-in enclosure that keeps the knife from rattling within the sheath.
HORIZONTAL BELT
The sheath's belt loops are completely detachable allowing for a horizontal, low-profile carry along the waistline.
VERTICAL MOLLE
The sheath is setup with a snap-in MOLLE strap allowing the knife to be carried vertically.
I’ve had this knife since it was given to me as a graduation present from Ft. Benning. Two deployments to the sandbox and she still performs like a dream. I’ve cut through Kevlar, retaining straps, OCP tops and bottoms, boots, and even aluminum aircraft skin. She has some wear and tear on the bottom handle where the plastic forms around the spike pommel but that’s to be expected from the use its been through. I trust this tool with my life and my only wish is that I had it sooner.
Excellent knife, superb craftsmanship. I have taken this knife on several deployments to disaster areas, and I’m currently on a fishing trip and using it when needed. Even with its size 99% of the time it is an everyday carry for me. The sheath/holster having the horizontal mount option is one of my favorite design features. That’s how I prefer to carry it & with it being in the small of my back it is out of the way until needed & easily concealed if the need arises.
this was the best knife i have ever used, i use knifes all the time and this knife has been serving me faithfully for a long....thanks gerber u no how to make a knife..
This knife is awesome. Ergos, the sheath, blade shape, length and thickness. The only thing I would improve is the steel, a model with better steel would be the way to go.
love it fits nice I my large hands, even comfortable when the handle is wet. amazing for a bug out bag or tactical vest!
The rubberized diamond grip with the full tang is amazing. The vertical sheath is great but horizontally when you pull it out then the buttons come out, so you have to hole the sheath while pulling it out. Another bonus is made I Portland. OR which is really nice. Overall amazing knife.
This is hands down one of my best knife purchase's. The full tang construction, the rubberized grip, almost everything is perfect. Only downside is the blade is hard to shape when it becomes dull (which Ithe will rarely become dull) and when it does, to get it back to razor sharp, like it comes, touch it up with couse or fine ceramic. Another one is that the strap sucks. The buttons come undone easily. Piant on the blade scratches easy too but I dont care about that really. I use it what it's meant for. Other than those things, I would definitely recommend this and buy another one.
Bought as a gift for my boyfriend and I've never seen him more excited. Great value and a great blade.
