I bought a Gerber one flip back in September 2018 at my local Walmart in Marietta Ohio bought it to use at my camper and brought it home with me this winter and have been carrying it since buying it new and I’ve used it for opening boxes and cutting boxes to put in the recycling bin and the 5CR15 steel with the PVD coating blade makes it very easy to clean after using it. I really like the flipper on the back to open it easier I carry it clipped to my pocket everyday I don’t leave home without it at all. When I bought it I paid $8.00 because it was not a popular seller for Walmart and they was going to carry a different gerber in it place. I’m glad I bought it and I really like the way this knife is designed and really enjoy using it. I just wish the thumb studs was moved a little bit because where they are located make it very hard to open using the thumb studs and you have to use the flipper to open it which is no big deal. If gerber makes a change to this knife at some point and time I would definitely recommend moving forward the thumb studs that would make it easier to open.

I bought a gerber one flip in September 2018 at my local Walmart in Marietta Ohio and have carried it since then I really like how it work and how easy the blade deploys when you hit the flipper it’s pretty quick it’s very easy to carry and is very well built and it will definitely be going back with me to my camper come spring. I really like the 5CR15 steel blade it’s very easy to sharpen and holds a edge really well. I have used it for opening boxes and cutting boxes to burn in my fire ring. This knife is flipping awesome really enjoy it. Can’t wait to continue using this knife I carry it using the pocket clip and it’s holding up great very easy and is enjoyable to use I would definitely recommend this knife as a everyday carry pocket knife. I also own several other gerber products as well like the para frame 1 , rip stop 2 , MP 450 multi tool and my green one flip plus got the new gerber freeman folding hunter with gut hook and liner lock that is also a pretty sweet knife as well. Got it for Christmas of 2018.

When I was at my local Walmart waiting in line to get my hunting license I was looking at the display case of knives and seen this gerber knife so when I got to the counter I asked if I could look at it. I asked them how much it was cause I was interested in purchasing it and they told me it was $7.80 I questioned them about the price and they told me that this particular one was being phased out by Walmart and another gerber would be taking it place so for that price I went ahead and bought it I have carried it a while now and really like how it looks and preforms . I really like the overall look of the knife and the blade color and handle feel of it. I will definitely be taking this knife back to my camper when I go back to it in the spring this knife will get sharp and stay sharp the 5CR15 steel will take a edge pretty easily. I will definitely be getting another gerber knife in the future I already have the para frame 1 rip stop 2, MP450 multi tool and my green OD one flip also have my new gerber freeman folding hunter with gut hook that I got for Christmas 2018.

Bought my gerber one flip from my local Walmart for $7.80 because it was going to be replaced with a different style gerber knife so I seen this one in the display case not knowing what the cost was at the time. I asked and when they told me $7.80 because it was being phased out for a different gerber knife for Walmart to sell. I bought it and now really like it. Used it for my camping, hunting backpack, and occasionally carry it few days a week and it’s holding up very well.

Back in September 2018 I was in my local WALMART department store in Marietta Ohio at the sporting goods department waiting to get my hunting license done and while I was waiting I was looking at the knife showcase and seen a few gerber knives the green handle one got my attention so I asked the sales associate if I could look at it cause I wanted to see how it would feel in my hand and how heavy it was. I asked them to see what the price was and they told me that it was going to be a discontinued model for Walmart because it wasn’t selling that good and I asked them how much it was I was expecting to pay between $25-$35.00 for it but it was rang up as $7.80 so I decided it was to good of a deal that while getting my hunting license I decided I had to go ahead and buy it. I have carried it now biggest part of winter and I’m really happy and pleased with it. I plan on taking it to my camper and using it down there come spring it will definitely be handy to carry and use as a work and General camping knife. Probably won’t run in to a good deal like that again for that price but I will definitely be buying more gerber knives in the future. I now own a rip stop 2, one flip, para frame 1 and a gerber MP450 multi tool which I keep at my camper all year long

Going to use it for opening snacks and other things in the woods and can’t wait to start using it.

A gift for my birthday and another great addition to the Gerber collection. One of the best looking knives I own ...I almost hate to use it , but I will! Nice heft to it but very comfortable in the hand. FYI: I've read reviews about the knife being hard to close. You have to break it in.....flick it 10 times hard, close the knife and turn it til you see the flat part of the blade that the linerlock touches when its open. Wipe it with a kleenex ...repeat as needed. Once the coating wears off on this little piece the knife closes much smoother. Highly recommend this knife ...well built and came sharp, low pocket clip and looks great ...im probably going to order the other color as well.

It’s sharp out of the box, great design with enough room to wrap my fingers around. One of the flaws I found was that the liner lock is a bit tight and sometimes catch he’s or have to push the liner lock with a bit more force. 5cr15MoV stainless steed + PUD coated is very good has an excellent feel (It’s a bit smooth so in rain conditions becareful) for basic uses obviously nothing to extreme like skinning, hunting, and anything that takes the blades in different temperatures i.e. cold climates to humid climates.

Bought this knife and it wouldn't flip. I tried to loosen the torx and it stripped(yayy) so I flipped right to the garbage. Stay away from gerber and these inconsistencies. Ill stick with Benchmade and CRKT. This is a pile of garbage.

Just picked up this blade from a local store and I love the look of this knife. Sleek and classy and still functional. People complaining that it's not grippy obviously didn't look at the pictures. This knife has no rubber grips on it so I don't know why you would expect it. Certain knives for certain uses.

Cool knife and amazingly sharp out of the package... One MAJOR flaw, I don't know if it's just the one I bought or if others are having this problem but when I close the knife the blade hits one of the frame studs causing a divot in the blade and just ruining the whole experience that this knife has to offer... Gerber please take another look at this knife... I haven't been disappointed in any of your knifes until now

I have the green with the rose gold blade, and the blade is simply NOT as "rose" as it looks in picture. This is a good thing to me as I would not buy it based on picture on website but in person it looks great. Built well and one hand operation works well (most of the time). Takes a very strong flick, but it will open with one hand.

This is not a bad knife for the money. Its made verily well. Love the color and design. Its somewhat rough when closing the blade because the liner lock is not quite smoothe enough. I don't think the one hand opening concept will work with this design. But still with time and using this knife it might become smoother with its closing and the working of the liner lock. Guess I will keep it I tend not to trust liner or frame locks but I am going to give this model a try. Its a pretty well made knife its a china made model. so I am going to see how it turns out.

The knife is good looking with the colored blade, although it's not quite as bright as in the picture which is a good thing since it looks like a girly color at first. It's actually more of a flat FDE with a touch of reddish color to it on the blade and a bright/shiny olive green on the handle. The reason for only three stars is due to it being very slippery in the hand even when dry. Combine this with the way you have to reposition your hand to open it then reposition your hand again to hold it while/once open. It's likely to be dropped. This isn't a big deal unless you're planning on using this as a defensive tool, in that case get something with more grip and maybe even assisted open by the thumb to avoid the need to reposition the knife during manipulation. I'm going to either sand the high spots or trace them with an engraver to give it more bite in the hand. Hope this helps someone (Gerber)
