Excellent styling. Funky blade, excellent for scraping tape off a table, or removing a sticker, and is thick enough to withstand a missile attack. Beautiful and unexpected brass phosphate washers - not the typical plastic ones. Framelock is built like a tank. Locks at the correct position with room for future wearing. Perfect lanyard hole. Recommendations for ultimate design: Low-Profile Clip, 8cr13 or AUS8 blade material, with a Wharncliffe blade or at least the same blade as the fine edge Gerber Sharkbelly . Then call it the Gerber Serpentine.

Great knife. No it isn’t an expensive knife, but yes it is fantastic. Mine is great. One handedly opens and closes like a champ. Lockup is secure, blade centered when closed. Ergonomically superior to competitors and again this is a bargain. It holds an edge well, sharpens easily. Better steel could be easier to maintain, but again this is an inexpensive knife. I carry it over many much more expensive knives because it does the edc job very well.

Man up. I can open and close mine with one hand all day long. Good tough design and nice sharp blade.

How could they make such an attractive looking knife (yeah it looks like a competitor’s except a spear point blade instead of a wharncliffe blade) and yet make the thing impossible to open and close? Was this suppose to be a fixed blade knife? The screws are tightened down so hard that I have ruin 3 t6 and 4 t8 bits trying to loosing the knife up just to close it. Guess they used the red loctite instead of the blue. This is being returned and it will take another 15 years for me to try another Gerber product. God what happen to this once great company?

I made the same mistake again. I get sucked in by a good looking design from Gerber, and because the price is good, I buy it. Once again I am shown the lack of quality control on Gerber models made in China. The Kettlebell is a new model for 2018, and looks good. Like many other of their models, the open and closing is terrible. Their detent on this one is so hard that it is really a two handed knife. I never have QC complaints with Kershaw’s China models.
