I was hesitant after buying it in a "spur of the moment" situation (after I lost my two Kershaws and the screws started falling out my mtech). But so far I am extremely happy with it, love the weight (because I tend to throw knives into wood for holding, only worried about the steel used, and the frequency of sharpening.

When I bought this knife I thought it was going to be just like all their other knives. Dependable, sturdy, functional, etc but this one fell very short because it doesn’t flip open like described. I have went back and exchanged this knife and same problem. Needs a large amount of flick to get this knife going. Everything else is amazing.. just doesn’t function.

No complaints about the Index at all...loved the knife!Deployed a lot smoother than I expected and had great lock-up.This is pretty comfortable and solid too.Razor sharp and good fit and finish.

Advice to Gerber:
This 5Cr15MoV steel is decent for a $25 folder.It's good for yardwork and most general uses.But I would have gladly dropped a few more dollars for the 7Cr17MoV instead.Please don't change to the 5Cr15MoV as your common steel...it's a little harder than 420HC but in the same territory.You guys use a better grade of steel in your folders than Buck...keep it that way.
