We can think of about 600 reasons why this much-applauded multi-tool belongs on your belt. But don't worry, well just stick to the most important ones here. Like profound versatility, for example. And fail safe performance. And a level of rock-solid design and construction that pleases the eye and satisfies the soul.
It all begins with high quality stainless steel. Then we incorporated Gerber's patented one-handed opening pliers. Top that off with our patented replaceable tungsten carbide wire cutters. When the cutters become dull or misshapen simply rotate the tungsten carbide cutters 120-degrees, and you've got yourself a good-as-new wire cutter. After three rotations, the entire cutter can be replaced.
You'd be hard pressed to find a more rugged or more fearless multi-tool out there. But go ahead and look around a bit. See what you think. Then come on back to Gerber and pick the Multi-Plier 600 that truly suits your needs. We're building plenty.
Got my MP-600 on Fleabay used back in 2008. I used it as a Code Enforcement Officer to cut sign wire, remove signs and bailing wire, open boxes, EVen the smooth blade to cut my lunch once in a while. I carried it over with me into IT and now the Railroad. This thing is tough, both in how it has behaved and how it has worn out pouches. I will be searching for a better pouch for it since this is the third nylon one that I would have gone through. It can stand to be dehorned maybe, but not much work to do with that. I only say that due to the holes in the leather pouches that it has made.
I've had mine out on a frac crew beating, prying, and cutting stuff that should've broke it and then had it in the welding shop as a set of welpers, cleaning mig nozzles, chipping slag on flux, cutting mig wire, fixing welding machines, and much more. Never leave home without it.
This is a great tool. My step-dad used it when he was in the military and gave it to me. This tool is so useful, but I wish I had the sheath. I just used this thing today and it worked so great! Anyone considering to get one... SHOULD!
SOLID TOOL. GOOD EDGE ON THE KNIFE. WAS ABLE TO CUT 1/2 PLYWOOD WITH THE SAW BLADE. LONG PROCESS BUT I WAS IN A PINCH AND IT WORKED. I LIKE HAVING TWO FLATHEAD SIZES. I'VE BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THIS THING. LITERALLY. USED IT AS A HAMMER. I ALWAYS PREFER TO HAVE THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB. BUT IF I CAN'T I STILL BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY AND THIS TOOL HELPED. GOT IT DURING PREMOB AND ITS STILL GOING STRONG 2 YEARS LATER.
My son requested this multi for the miriad of things he does: Airsoft, Bow, plinking, hiking, civil war re-enactment, camping ( he is seventeen) and he just loves it. Says it has never let him down in the tasks that he got it for. So, good for him and good for Gerber!
LOVE THESE> Carry every day and use them just as much. I even found that you can use the large straight screwdriver blade as an impromptu 1/4 inch drive for sockets. I found this out after someone got off with my 1/4 inch ratchet. Im always finding new ways to use thiese.
how do i get ahold of these? back home on the farm, i kill at least one 600 tool a year cutting hog fencing on the quick. yall are forcing me into buying the leatherman OHT.

The jaw on my Multi-Pier 600 snapped two months into my deployment. The multi tool was issued a month prior to deployment. I'm not impressed.
I have one of these and when im ontop of a helicopter and the sun is beating me down and i need a screwdriver or a pair of cutters for some lock wire I can always depend on this work of blue collar genius
Got in 2008 works great! Finaly need wire cutters and retainer clip after4 years best multi tool I ever had thank you!!
my dads friend works in a navy yard in norfolk,VA and he bought this to carry on him and so since i liked it so much he bought me one for my b-day
I have three of these multitools. Issued on deployments. They are solid. Work great, and withstand a hell of a lot of abuse. The tools that come with it are ideal for the military. I am looking forward to getting issued the NEW MP600-ST on my next deployment in a few months!
