MEET GERBER
Creatively styled yet functional for everyday use, this keychain compatible tool is perfectly sized to be ready when you need it. Surprisingly strong and secure, the tool's components lock while in use to ensure safety.
Details:
Our pocket tools are about function, but they look pretty stylish too. The function comes from locking implements including screw drivers, a blade and file. Did we mention it can open beers too and be clipped to just about anything with the built in carabiner clip? And the style? That comes from our more creative side.
Use it everday, sometimes several times a day. The only issue I've had is the carabiner snap broke, but I'm replacing that. Gonna get a second one to use kayak fishing. Great little tool!
I have had TONS of different keychain/mini multi tool, all the well known ones and some one-off's, I just grab them when I come across them, but NOTHING COMPARES TO THE GERBER CURVE!!!! With 2 flat head sizes, a Phillips, double sided file, knife blade that ALL LOCK which is a huge piece of mind, top it off with a bottle opener@ the clip and now you can open that beer at the end of the long day for you and your buddies.... I sharpened mine to SHAVING SHARP & use it so much there's only hours in between uses, not days or weeks!!!!
The Gerber curve is the first multi-tool with a knife that I have been willing to carry on my keychain. At 0.8 oz, it is not heavy enough to cause me problems, but with it's functions, it has enough utility to justify my carrying it. I have only two complaints about it, the first is that the clip does not have enough tension, which allowed the Gerber curve to fall from my keychain while removing my keychain from my pocket. My second complaint is that part of the blade extends into the void of the clip area slightly, therefore allowing what it is clipped to to come in contact with the blade. This allows that part of the blade to be dulled when it is clipped to something metal, for example a keychain, since the keychain can come in contact with the sharp part of the blade and dull it.
I bought this multi-tool to add to my work keys as I'm always in need of a knife and screwdriver. It cuts great and easy to use. My only disappointment is the clip. I had the tool for only 3 days before the clip got bent out of shape and broke off of my keys. Then after exchanging the tool it came out of place again! I managed to fix it my self; but very disappointed in the workmanship/design of the clip.
I got this knife from my BF for Christmas after I complained about not finding a pocket knife small enough to fit in women's jeans pockets. It is about the size of a tube of lip gloss and works great! I will agree the closing mechanism was a bit stiff to start, but after using it for a few months, it is much easier to unlock.
Great addition to any key chain mine came in a gift set. I like it so much I got one for my daughter
Just got it today an I have to say it's pretty handy I really like it good for unscrewing just about anything
It's on my Christmas list because I have the bear Grylls keychain multi tool the only problem is that I don't use the pliers or the serrated blade or the tweezers I just use the screwdrivers and the blade so I put this on my list so that I would have something slimmer so that be easier to put in different places and so that I do not carry around those useless tools.
The Curve is very difficult, if not impossible, for the average women to close it. The closing apparatus is extremely tight. It's designed to use your index finger and thumb to slide the release. Mine is now tossed in a drawer with the screwdriver still open. I've purchased a small Swiss Army that works with ease. The Curve was a very disappointing purchase.
Great for anything. Quite the device with great locks. i'm so mad I lost mine, but that's why I'm replacing it. Super handy! Highly recommend!
Just got this as a stocking stuffer. Darn cool design. I honed a nice edge on it. Face it a factory edge is never as good as a proper sharpening. Good bevel to blade sharpens well. Have not tried the opener yet maybe tonight. Very satisfied so far.
