The Key Note is a do-it-all knife that packs a surprising amount of utility into a compact frame. The dual-use blade is deployed w/ a starter tab and secured open w/ a nail nick, it offers both a scraping and a cutting edge. The stout blade can be carried a multitude of ways: on belt, in pocket, or on a keychain.
Throw it in your pocket or on your keys and forget it. The compact design of the Key Note was intended for this very purpose: to be on hand when you need it for daily tasks.
It’s a tough little guy. Does a great job at cutting and scraping. It’s frame and blade are substantial yet small. I use the pocket clip to slide right onto my front pocket for easy access. It’s about an inch and half closed, two opened. I really like it. Use it everyday. Hope it sticks around. I’ll buy again and again (if I need to) like I said, it’s tough.
Bought the Key Note from Gerbers website. Rec'd it 4 days ago, really like it for my keys until I noticed when I went to retrieve my keys that the Keynote swiveled and didn't come out of my pocket.
Stripped screw, hey no big deal right? things happen. Easy fix or so i thought, call Gerber since I got it off their website for $24.00 and order a replacement screw (or 2) NOPE, made overseas which I knew, but because of that they have no replacement parts?!?!? Poor excuse, if you sell anything you'd think you'd have parts for it. Customer service woman (only doing her job) said I'd have to mail it it. Ok, they'll fix for free and mail back.
Just a hassle and minimal cost but JUST have the parts available and mail out 1 simple screw!!!
I like the product but the lack of forward thinking and prep for this very incident upset me.
In addition to the Key Note, I ordered the Juke Box, Quadrant and Straightlace, hope I have better luck with those.
