Designed for soldiers and first responders, this tough knife has a full size, fine edge tanto blade for maximum piercing and slicing capabilities. The 154CM steel blade is anchored with a lock back design providing structural integrity in heavy-duty applications.
The Edict continues Gerber’s history of American-made tactical knives designed to be used by soldiers and police officers. This knife has a full size tanto-style blade with a fine edge and no serrations, allowing for maximum piercing and slicing capabilities. The Edict Folding Clip Knife is proudly made in Portland, OR.
STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AND A SECURE GRIP
The Edict’s blade is made of premium 154CM steel for excellent edge retention and features a black ceramic coating which maximizes corrosion resistance while minimizing reflective surfaces. Thumb studs allow for quick one-handed blade deployment, and the knife’s lock back closing mechanism provides structural integrity in heavy-duty applications. The glass-filled nylon handle is built with a large palm swell, a finger guard for heavy-duty work, and a rubberized diamond texture for a secure grip in all weather conditions.
CARRY ASSURANCE WITH YOU
The Edict Folding Clip Knife is made for hard labor over the long haul. Slip it into a pocket for daily access to a knife that will answer with strength and assurance when tasked. Tie the knife down using its lanyard hole for additional security.
I love this knife, very light, sharp, strong, hight quality materials!
But sometimes the pocket clip is released, i has to use nut locker to ensure the screws
I have many, many Gerber products. They do good work. This knife has a awesome blade, only problem is the actual cutting length is 3" not 3.6". Handle is comfortable and light. Rubber is great but doesn't need to be used on the clip side as it pulls on material it's attached to. Many look like they are cracked at the lanyard area, as mine does. Solid pivot bolt and lock back design make it able to really be worked.
I have been carrying and using this knife for about a year and a half now. I have owned many Gerber knives in my time, but I am going to go ahead and say that this is absolutely one of the most reliable, well built, just all around tough folding knifes Gerber has ever built.
The 154CM blade takes a beautiful edge at fairly low sharpening efforts, but holds that same edge long after.
The handle is honestly one of my favorites out of my entire knife collection. The rubber overmolded glass-filled nylon handle is firm, yet very grippy, and far too satisfying to work with.
I think it should be noted that the fact that this knife has a very sturdy deep-carry pocket clip is just the icing on the cake. Never once has it fallen out of my pocket, even in the craziest of conditions and tasks.
I am such a fan of this knife that I will be buying the newer bead-blasted variant for my father, as he is the one who introduced me to Gerber Legendary Blades so long ago.
The best part though...
This beautiful knife was constructed right where I live: beautiful Portland, Oregon.
I love this knife it's well made it opens and close very nice.Gerber you hit a home run with this knife. You out did your self and its made right here in United States
So far I've been really impressed with my Gerber Edict. I'm a fan of tanto style blades and if you are too you'll really enjoy owning this model. This is one of the best value knives out there for 154CM steel. And it's made here in the U.S.A. (thank you Gerber!) It came scary sharp from the factory. Locks up tight and solid. No wiggle at all. Has good ergonomic placement of jimping. The rubber handle is well designed and it feels easy for me to maneuver in my hand. The ceramic coating has held up well and the knife itself is very light for it's size. Feels lighter than my Gerber Gator. I am giving 4 stars because I feel that the weak point in this knife is the clip. It's nice that it does have a pocket clip but the way it is placed and designed feels like it was an after-thought. I would have liked for it to be higher for deep concealment. After actually using the knife I felt that it was getting in the way and just decided to remove the clip altogether. Overall the Edict is well worth the money and a solid performer.
Ive thrown this thing at trees and concrete till it broke, and i'll tell you it was hard. It is such a well made knive it took me almost a year to somewhat break it. This knife is a mustown for survival. The blade is so sharp I actually cut the bow opening it. This knife is amazing!
This thing locks up tighter than a bank vault!!! It fits perfect in your hand any way you hold it! I love mine! The154CM steel is outrageously tough and holds an edge forever!! I have TRIED to break mine and failed every time!!!! I'm pretty sure this knife is BOMB PROOF!!!!!!!
At first I was detoured by the price of the knife but then remember you have to pay for quality and that's very true with this knife. Very sharp holds an edge well and I use it mainly to cut paranoid, everyday use, and in my cadet career thanks Gerber for another great blade.
Razor sharp 154CM Tanto, Cerakote blade. GFN handle with rubber over mold for superior grip. Tip up carry pocket clip. Back lock for secure lock up when blade is deployed. Made by US craftsman in my home state, and under 70 USD. A near perfect offering from Gerber.
JUST GOT THIS KNIFE AND I AM IMPRESSED. COMES RAZOR SHARP, NO PLAY IN THE BLADE LOCK MECHANISM. GREAT JOB GERBER. KEEP MAKING GREAT AMERICAN KNIVES
