For unmatched control and precision, this full tang fixed blade knife offers a balanced design and comfortable grip. The fine edge, drop point blade affords ultimate utility for hunting and camping tasks alike.
A versatile hunting knife needs to offer confident blade control and a comfortable grip for tackling the varied demands of a hunting trip. The Moment Large Fixed Gut Hook Knife combines Gerber’s 70-plus years of knife crafting experience with feedback from dozens of experienced hunters to create a knife that can do it all without fanfare. The result is a clean, practical blade design with an ergonomic handle that inspires confidence for delicate and tough tasks. The addition of the gut hook feature makes cleaning game easier than ever.
FULL TANG DURABILITY
The importance of full tang construction cannot be overstated in a fixed blade hunting knife. Backcountry adventure rarely goes completely as planned, so knowing your knife can handle unanticipated uses—like serving as a hammer to construct a tree stand—is comforting, if not actually expected of a good hunting knife.
COMFORTABLE, CONFIDENT GRIP
What stands out immediately on this knife is the comfortable grip and balanced feel of its design. Combined with a well-placed guard, thumb traction jimping and a stout choil, the molded rubber grip instills confidence for pushing and pulling through any medium. The grip security extends to all conditions and hand positions. From ordinary camp tasks to expertly cleaning and dressing your kill, this fixed blade knife is up for the task.
EASY GUTTING, EASY MAINTENANCE
Every hunting trip puts different demands on you and your equipment, your knife included. The Moment’s clean, durable design is ready for both the mundane and the unusual. It’s easy to clean and maintain, and the gut hook simplifies gutting your animal—letting you open it efficiently and without risk of slicing internal organs.
SECURE NYLON SHEATH
The slim sheath keeps your knife safe and sound in your pack or on your belt, ready for action when you need it to clean and dress your game. The sheath’s snap closure keeps your blade secure while you bushwhack in search of your downed animal or the perfect vantage point to take your shot.
Love this knife. Holds an edge great. Just field dressed, and then later butchered my deer with this knife. Still sharp. The gut hook is great with skin, but also useful during the butcher process. The size and shape of blade is well thought out. Thanks for great knife.
I had heard of all the great reviews of this brand. I purchased one this last weekend and while in the sheath it got wet. I took it out of the sheath and the blade had started to Rust. It also didn't stay in the sheath very well. The first day of use was not a good experience with this brand. I would like to give it a chance but not to sure. Other than that it felt good and I love the grip.
I found the knife fits well inside my boot , of the BDU uniform . I own several Gerber products. I will never be without a Gerber Moment again.
Thanks for a great product......
I have been using gerber for sometime now and have quite a few of their products. This knife is a MUST buy. The knife is very reasonably priced, and you will not regret it at all. The blade is well balanced, weighted perfectly, clean looking and doesn't show fingerprints. The blade came very sharp right out of the box. The full tang ensures that this blade will last some time. As of now I have not had any issues with rust, but I do oil my blade after use and keep it in it's sheath. The sheath is very similar to that of the gator machete junior, and feels very sturdy. The rubberized handle is very comfortable and fits my hand great (I have somewhat large hands). On the butt of the knife appears to be a pommel which is definitely a nice touch. This knife feels great in hand and seems like it will be great for more challenging and delicate field dressings. Overall there is nothing I would change about this knife, except I would love to see a d ring on the sheath to attach to my bag. This knife deserves a 5 star rating. Thank you gerber, you out did yourself on this one.
