Life can be a real beast sometimes. When you are in the thick of it, wondering if your blade can cut it is a luxury you can’t afford. Enter the Fullback AO - a fine edge folding knife with nerves of steel that rises to any challenge fearlessly. Featuring a 3.25 mm thick Wharncliffe blade, this resilient knife is tough yet has the finesse for fine cuts. When daily tasks require super-human strength, the 7Cr17MoV steel ensures control and durability for today and the years to come.
DYNAMIC ASSISTED OPEN | SAFETY FOCUSED
When time is of the essence Gerber’s F.A.S.T. 2.0 assisted opening mechanism is dependably accurate, allowing true one-handed blade engagement. Dual thumb studs guarantee that your knife is available to you when you need it most and a secondary plunge locking system ensures that it stays closed when you don’t. The cross bolt safety feature keeps the blade from opening or closing inadvertently, affording unparalleled peace of mind. Handle scales provide a sure-handed grip, lending to a safety focused design that gives you the confidence to trust in your knife.
MODERN DAY GRIT | THOUGHTFUL FUNCTION
Engineered with the wear and tear of everyday use in mind, the Fullback AO is an indispensable addition to any knife enthusiast’s arsenal. Born in the place where grit and function collide, this knife has it all. The beefy glass-filled nylon handle feels solid in your hand, providing sturdy application and comfortable ease of use. Whether on your person or close at hand, the hard-wearing pocket clip and lanyard hole provide multiple carrying options when needed. A durable titanium nitride coated blade keeps your knife in working form for generations to come, ensuring that you will quit long before your knife does.
Excellent Overall design with the incredible Wharncliffe blade. Wharncliffe is extremely suited for heavy tasks and easy sharpening. Gerber did a great job with the overall design. Unfortunately, the clever jewel was made in China. Whether you are a patriot or a tightwad, this knife will demonstrate why a simple knife should be made in USA where the quality is high and the price is nearly the same. This model illustrates what happens when you have great engineering, then ship the manufacturing overseas. Make it here, with our domestic quality, and earn a 5-star rating with no other changes. I want to love this knife. Make it so. If not, soon you'll be taxed so there is no benefit for you to do what you did.
An excellent EDC. No issues with opening or play in the blade. Came sharp honed to a razor with little effort. The cross bolt safety is a great feature for my needs.
A great edc folder. I've heard of some issuses people have had with opening, and I'm sure it's a defect that gerber will cover. My knife came sharp, easy to open and snappy. Great value
Really wanted this to be my new EDC as the screws on the clip of my mini covert stripped out. However when receiving the knife I instantly noticed how hard it was to open. Hard to open with two hands even, impossible with one. I thought it needed a break in period or something, however i noticed some other users elsewhere reporting the same issue. One user said he had to grind down a part for it to open properly. I shouldn't have to do this for the product to work properly. Other users are saying theirs opens just fine so this is obviously a quality control issue.
I really like the knife, it was a little hard to open at first , the thumb studs hurt my fingers after awhile but after I got used to how to open it properly, now it opens every time painlessly, great knife.
