This year, we bring you the Profile Knife, a knife built for comfort and durability for heavy usage. This knife has been designed with a non-slip rubber handle to ensure you have a good grip even in wet environments. It features a titanium coated 4" blades and comes with a sturdy nylon sheath. Lifetime warranty.
Have had this knife for less than a year used is on one camping trip for carving hotdog sticks and such and the blade edge is already folded over. I don't know how they call this a knife "Built for heavy usage" when it can't stand up to the light use. This knife is totally undependable.
Love the fixed blade version and gut hook options, please bring those back. Everyone in our hunting party has one version or another. Have used one to shave in camp. Holds an excellent edge and is very readily sharpened with a good whetstone.
I bought mine a few years ago, and use it almost every day.
The blade is sturdy, easy to open, and holds an edge for weeks despite constant use.
The grip fits my hand perfectly, and is very comfortable.
Though I've tried other folders, even $150+ custom pieces, I always go back to my Gerber.
good knife but the grip is not what it used to be, it feels cheap and weak. i love the knife and the blade is razor sharp!
This is a great knife. The grip is very aggressive and holds firm in your hand.
I am a "south paw" though and it is sad to see this knife designed only for righties. Just looking at it, you can see that they did not intend for lefties to be using it.
It uses a right-handed grip and you have to use your right hand to close the knife with one hand because of how the locking mechanism works.
But, I have used my right hand to open and close the knife. It is smooth and comfortable to use. You can still use it if you are left-handed(it is just a little harder.)
Over all, a good knife and well worth the price you pay for it. For all lefties...please look for a different knife you can really use to its full potential.
Nothing wrong with the knife, but nothing very special. A good medium sized utility blade. Handle is very comfortable and feels great in the hand, but its only a right handed grip. Really easy to open with a flick of the thumb.
This is an okay knife. Not quiet as nice as I expected, but I guess you get what ya pay for. The liner lock on mine has been functioning properly so far. However, the handle is not very sturdy, I can see and feel it give as I grasp the knife firmly. Another issue with this knife is the fact that it is made in China. I have had a lot of respect for Gerber since I bought the Gator 2 over a year ago. It was made in America and is one heck of a knife. Wish y'all still made 'em in America.
This was my first Gerber knife and the reason I began buying other stuff.
The handle is comfortable and opens easily. I've had no problems with the liner-lock and can pop this baby open/locked with a fair flick.
I've had this knife for about two years, used it to probe and inspect wooden sailing ship hulls, and carried it on boardings at sea for protection against entanglement and self-defense. The blade is sharp, sturdy, and holds its edge well, and the rubber grip is top-notch, however, the knife needs to be flicked open HARD to engage the liner-lock reliably. No amount of cleaning and oiling has freed it up enough that I don't need to check twice to avoid cutting my fingers off. I've switched to carrying a lock-back to save my fingers and sanity.
This knife has one of the easiest one-hand blades out there. It can be used right or left handed and is easy no matter what. The rubber grip feels great, however, time will tell how durable it really is. Overall, a great tool!
