Keep the line in the water. The compact, dual-ended LineDriver has everything needed to simplify line management: one end rotates to quickly tie knots and clear eyelets, the other end features a crimper, hook threader, and scissor snips. A pocket clip and tether point keep the tool secured for easy access.
While it may not guarantee a catch, one thing that a day on the river can promise is that you will be tying more than your fair share of knots. The reality is that the more time you spend with your line out of the water, the less time you spend catching fish – the LineDriver aims to streamline the process as an all-in-one fishing line tool.
The compact, dual-ended tool has six essential line management functions – everything needed to simplify tying knots and handling tricky line. Each function serves a specific purpose, offering an intuitive solution for each step of the familiar process.
The rotating end of the LineDriver is designed to assist in tying knots and clearing eyelets. The spinning hook vise securely clamps onto a hook or lure, cleanly spinning the line as you tie the knot and keeping fingers out of the way as you cinch it tight. An eyelet clearing spike cleans out debris and old line, making it that much easier to thread new line. The rotating tether point allows freedom of movement when using the tool, yet keeps it secure and out of the drink.
The opposite end of the tool does the heavy lifting of line management with functions that cut, crimp, and thread finicky line. The dual serrated scissor snips are an innovative take on a common function: when unlocked it operates as full range scissors that can handle thicker line; when locked the scissors bias slightly open for quick pull-through cuts when clipped on pocket. A split shot crimper is housed at the tip of the scissor snips for added utility. The hook threader easily funnels line through the eyelet for quick exchanges that save time and sanity. Designed specifically to manage line, the LineDriver has every tool you need for quick and accurate work.
Gerber tools are built to last a lifetime. To ensure optimal performance, rinse your tool with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a clean towel. Apply oil to hinges and moving parts on a regular basis.

got the line driver for a flyfishing trip in Colorado. Loved it but first day on the river the eyelet reamer / cleaner broke off so spinning tying tool is worthless.
I recently purchased the linedriver and it is truly amazing.. I don't have a right hand and forearm so to tie a hook or barrel swivel on was very difficult I was always asking for help. I am able to tie everything myself now because of this tool, to the developer of this tool you are truly a blessing to me now when I'm on the water I have my independence thank you so much..
How someone can give this a one star review is beyond me, there is always that 1% I guess, but I absolutely love this tool. This is something everyone should have in their own tackle box hands down. Everyone I have showed this is ordering them now. It’s nice not hooking any fingers. Super easy too use and is made durable. This would make an awesome Father’s Day, birthday, Christmas, or just because gift and your man will be happy with what you got him. It’s now my number one favorite from Gerber.
The whole tool has so much and yet one piece is missing and it's a split ring plier managment feature. Somehow this line management tool could have had a small or medium split ring plier feature. I'm not looking at it as fly fishing tool only. I'm probably still going to get this tool soon enough.
Received in mail and dual serrated scissor snips were loose and rocked back and forth in their housing. Sent back and reordered Processor scissors instead. Perhaps it is a good product, but obvious QC issues were enough to turn me off this particular item. I own the Magniplier and have had no issues with it. Very well made. I’ll trust another more solid tool from this line instead.
The line driver has great ideas but I would personally not use it too much, where the magnipliers would be able to do mostly everything I needed when fishing. I found it a little hard for the scissors to cut my braid or mono also.
this is a must have for any angler! Most accessible easy to use scissor snip feature out there! Makes managing your line and switching up your flies a breeze while you're in the middle of the river wading!
