When duty calls, you need to be prepared: the Torch I is always ready with textured glass-filled nylon inserts in the grippy handle. A matte black tanto blade is stealth and effective, easily opened with one hand courtesy of dual thumbstuds or a finger flipper.
Details:
Rick Hinderer designed this matte black tanto blade featuring a dual thumbstud for one-handed opening and a finger flip that doubles as a finger guard. Includes a pocket clip for easy carry and storage.
Bought this knife for work, had it for about a month an I love it. opens fast with the flipper and a little flick of the wrist, holds an edge good. When I first got it opening it was a little stiff and slow but after a few days of use it got really fast and smooth. great quality, thanks gerber
Just picked this little guy up for EDC/last ditch defense for about $25. Overall met my expectations, though I wish the handle were a bit longer to accommodate larger hands. Pocket clip & opening are a bit stiff, but those can be adjusted easily enough. Like the flipper - don't see that as often on smaller knives.
This knife is a great size for a pocket folder. I also like the durable tanto blade. The down side is, it has a skeletal frame with a very stiff clip on the opposite side of the pictured knife. I like the looks of the pictured just not the reverse. I was hoping to be able to remove the clip and have a knife that looked the same on both sides. not this one.
Aesthetically, 50% ugly. 1 star
Functionality, pretty good. 4 star
Bought this knife because it looked real nice and just a little something to help protect me just in case, sharp but opens slow. The dual thumbstud isn't well lubricated. I have a buck knife which works faster even without the thumbstud. KInda disappointed. Other than that decent knife.
I just bought this knife. collect knives and view Gerber to be my favorite brand along with Kershaw's sharpness. This little knife will perfect. Walking around with my other longer bladea proves pointless. Unless I was hunting, this knife will make use for everyday cutting fast and east, its safe. Multi-use with its tanto, serratted, and straight edges. and unless I plan to be in a knife fight ima grab a bigger weapon anyways. God Bless Gerber
