I just bought the knife, overall good and solid feel. I have got only two issues, one is that blade should lock second there should be something like small ring to put string on it,
This is part of my EDC I have used this damn near every day for one thing or another
"think about It" you could use the Phillips to remove the handle on your gi tanto and make a spear or warclub or to repair your radio in the wild
Why would you ever need a phillips screwdriver in the wild?
Good knife, essential tool set. Knife doesn't lock which bothers me as I have seen accidents with non locking blades and this blade is super sharp. Screw drivers are tough to open.
Got this as a Christmas present...Great knife, no complaints! Enjoyed the survival tip inserts included with it. :)
This is a great knife. The philips head is hard to get out at first. But if you work it open and closed for a while it gets easier. Perfect pocket knife.
i got mine for 8bucks for pocket survival kit.
tools are a bit hard to open.i broke a nail trying to open it.but great sharp blade on it
Not really a "survival" thing... when I think survival, I don't think Philips Screwdriver! Got this for work, these are all tools I use regularly, but can't carry a traditional multi-tool. Blade and tools are all very stiff out of the box, and it is a little heavier and bulkier than I would like. But nice.
It is a great knife. the only thing I can complain about is that the Phillips head screwdriver is extremely hard to open but otherwise it is an awesome knife.
very good grip, handy, cheap, small and sharp!
the only thing gerber could do is to change a little the blade its kind of skinning knife, but also great for every day use.
i have no problem with the BG pocket tool.
I am a bear grylls fan so I bought this knife and i was amazed of how sharp it was out of the box, the priorities of survival guide fits perfectly in the wallet. I recommend this multi tool.
The knife is great, I had no problem getting the tools out and it came very sharp.
Best knife I can take it camping or any were else I got mine today and its nice and sharp.
This knife was cool out of the box and i acpecialy the extra tools a little hard to pen but overal i love it.
This tool is really great!I have the ultimate knife the parang, and the seath knife. They are all great products. But the pocket tool is really great!compact very sharp easy to use , i can carry it everywhere with me!For real! The tools open easily for me.I have it for a week and i think it is the most practical product of gerber!
The knife is really sharp out of the box. The extra tools are quiet hard to get open would be better with a lock . still a good little tool for the price and its light weight.
i love it
Neat little knife and finding it at my local BJ's Club for $10 was bad either.
Not up to the high standard I expect from Gerber! The tools are VERY difficult to pry out of the body. Every other Gerber product I own indicates somewhere on the body of the knife/ tool that it was manufactured in the U.S., this one says "Bear" and the packaging states that it comes from China. The deal breaker for me was the fact that none of the tools in this product lock open, not even the knife blade. I hope the company does not continue in this direction as I fear they will become Legendary for the wrong reasons.
i got this main for the knife and my nails are strong so i also got it for the drivers
nice little tool
The tools are extremely difficult to access. I broke two nails trying to get the phillips head out. I decided to return it.
this is a great little tool. when he says it weighs nothing, he means it. the blade was very sharp out of the box, which i was kind of surprised about considering it isn't all that expensive. only one complaint: all the tools besides the knife part are all really hard to get out. but, that dosent change the quality of this knife. definately recommend it.
I really like the knife and the idea behind it, but if you like your fingernails you better not buy it. I tried to get the philips head out and lost all my fingernails. So im going to wait awhile, and try to get it open again when my fingernails grow back.
just got mine today, its a great little work knife, nice and simple
i just bought it and its the knife i wanted. however i droped it then the blade came out. i did fix it.
my advice is to not get this. get a folding sheath knife. you get a better blade also a cover.
Cheep handy tool with multipule purposes. Brought it to schout camp and worked like a charm!!!
A great tool realy comes in handy. I luv it, it is the best. I an also a huge Bear grylls fan he is the best surviver ever !!!!!!!!!
Wish it had a pocket clip, then it would be perfect!!
i did have this knife for a fare while and in that time it was pretty good for me but that was before i dropped it and it BROKE and i was soooo pissed but still cool tool if your a person who does not drop things like me i recomend this pocket tool and it needs more tools
I love the Bear Grylls Pocket Tool. I use it very often and it works very well. I just wish the tools other than the knife came out easier.
I love this knife. When compared with the swiss army, the handy one hand kinife opening systems works a lot better.
Reminds me of the first knife I ever got as a kid. Bear's the man, and I feel that with his tools comes his indomitable "never say die" spirit. This knife has a serious attitude, with serious features. Can't wait to get some use out of this one.
Wood and metal saw would be a great of use
Not enough tools
This looks like a nice knife. but its not really very spacial. You can go to Target and buy a Swiss Army Knife for $10 that has all of this stuff on it and more.
This is a great little pocket knife. It is well constructed and has a very nice grippy handle. Over all it is a quality item and I would recommend it to any survival enthusiast.
I really like the new pocket tool! I have a BG multi tool but don't always carry it because I carry a handgun and a mag pouch on my belt and at times I feel like I need a Bat Utility belt to carry everthing! The great thing about the pocket tool is it can be slipped in a pocket and you still have the screwdrivers, can opener, and a great knife blade. The rubber grip panels are very easy to hold on to. The only thing I dislike and would change is, except for the knife blade, the other tools are hard to open without a thumbnail. Overall though another great tool!.
