Bear Grylls Compact Fire Starter

Surviving the unexpected is about being prepared, and the Bear Grylls Compact Fire Starter exceeds the standard. Few people know more about survival than Bear Grylls, ex-British Special Forces officer, experienced mountaineer and respected survival trainer. Taking advantage of Gerber’s decades of experience and Bear Grylls’ adventure knowledge, the Compact Fire Starter design gives its user a necessary boost in getting a fire going in a survival scenario.

A key factor to surviving in the wild is the ability to build a fire. With the Compact Fire Starter in a pocket or attached to a keychain or backpack, maintaining constant access to fire-starting potential is a cinch. Combining a sleek new design with a smaller size, the Compact Fire Starter offers itself as an ideal survival mate without adding unnecessary bulk to the daily carry essentials.

Working in the cold or wearing gloves won’t inhibit use of the Bear Grylls Compact Fire Starter with its simple, 2-piece design. Produce high quality fire-starting sparks using the easy-grip ferrocerium rod when it matters most. Made of durable anodized aluminum with a textured rubber grip, the Compact Fire Starter withstands abuse and still offers easy utility. With a water-resistant design, the Bear Grylls Compact Fire Starter is capable of operation regardless of the elements. The Bear Grylls Priorities of Survival Pocket Guide is included with this tool, furthering its usefulness and potential life-saving functionality.

4 cool josh - FEB 14, 2015

just ordered one

4 seems cool but... elijah - AUG 13, 2014

it seems like the older version was smarter you had a compartment to hold tinder in and both pieces were attached so if something happened you wouldn't lose half of the tool. the older version also seems to have a bigger piece of flint. this is a good product but in my opinion you should make the next one more like the first one just better somehow

5 good Bear G. - FEB 27, 2014
