This is a great axe. It keeps its edge pretty well also.
I wish the handle was longer though in order to get more power.
Good for just being outdoors with though not heavy enough to cut down huge trees.Good around the campground to split wood(though there are better options if you have splitting in mind.)
Does a great job absorbing energy and the hand grip at the end is very nice to have.

Just wanted to point out that this is exactly the same as the Fiskars 23 inch chopping axe, it says so right on thee handle!!
The only difference is that the fiskars is $10 cheaper.

This Axe is too light to drive deep enough to enable the felling of a standing pine! It is very light weight and good for light transfers of gear deep into the forests but it's weight prevents effective utility felling growth without the use of fuel powered chain saws!
