Sport Axe II

The Sport Axe II is the middle brother of the Gerber single hand axe series. Its handle is a bit longer than the Back Pack II and slightly shorter than the Camp Axe II. With the same stainless steel forged head and Fibercomp™ handle design, it’s just as tough as its brothers and is the right size for any hunting, fishing or outdoor trip.

Love this little guy. I have the X7, and the only reason I chose that one was orange is my favorite color...lol. Same tech in each so it doesn't really matter. It's also the same company...

This is a bomber piece of gear. Used my last one for five years (mostly for backpacking and camping), and the blade was still sharp. It only broke when I decided on a whim to try throwing it at a tree. I got another.

I have had this axe for about two months now and I have to say that I love it. The blade has good retention and it is perfectly sized. My only complaint is that the coating on the blade wears off pretty quickly
