Multi-Plier 600 - Bladeless

A Gerber MP600 that not only does everything your other MPs do, it can go anywhere, thanks to being built for compliance with “No Knife” policies. It’s part of a series of one-hand opening Gerber multi-tools used heavily by the US military. Carrying a Gerber MP600 gives you maximum flexibility in addressing life’s daily problems, and the MP600 Bladeless means you can do so even in limiting circumstances.

Designed expressly for the unique needs of industrial facilities, hospitals, and other similar institutions that limit the kinds of items people carry on their bodies, this do-it-all tool helps ensure safety in the workplace, while still giving you the benefit of this industrial-strength MP’s muscular multitude of tools. Its needle nose pliers work when you require a precise point that can grab fine elements in small spaces, while its one-handed open greatly simplifies a wide array of tasks. It contains rotatable, replaceable Tungsten Carbide wire cutters for use in snipping a variety of stubborn wires. This smart MP600 also holds a brawny, removable RemGrit saw, so you can take it along or simply take it out, giving you maximum flexibility with the tool in just about any situation.

Constructed of tough stainless steel, the MP600 Bladeless’s array of heavy duty tools gives you the capacity to work through a wealth of tasks without complaint. Along with the removable RemGrit saw, it holds a Phillips driver, three separate sizes of flat heads, a file, scissors, a built-in ruler, a lanyard ring, and a can and bottle opener, all of which lock in place for safe application. This do-it-all multi-tool works for you in negotiating obstacles regardless of location.

I have really loved this multitool. I have had it for the past 9 months now and use it daily. I am in high school and my high school weapons policy does not allow knives so I carry this with me daily. I have a Gerber Fish Flik, and Leatherman OHT that I carry outside of school, as well as a Leatherman Tread I wear to school, but I never leave home without this tool. It's cheap, has a useful set of tools and is probably my most used multitool.

Good job Gerber for making a truly bladeless full sized tool.

The bladeless is an excellent product for us Gerber fans living in the UK where we have very strict knife/blade law's.
I have a couple of MP600's and a 400 which are excellent, durable workhorse tools but cannot be carried in public as the knife blade lock's in place,.

The bladeless however solve that particular problem, I do find that the scissors are effective enough.

Many thanks for making such great tools.

One thing I would like is a leather pouch/sheath

According to the TSA FAQs, it seems this might be allowed on flights. Regarding scissors: Scissors - metal with pointed tips and blades shorter than 4" are allowed, but blades longer than 4" are prohibited.

Please! Really, another camping tool.
Come on people, do you not know what we are looking for in a multi tool?
1. Scissors are junk.
2. bottle/can opener. Never used either.
3. knife blades, what for, it's dangerous on a multi tool. Carry a pocket knife, better grip and dexterity.
You get my drift, now make a multi tool for people who work .

5 Network Engineer Jeff Anderson - JUL 27, 2015

I think these are excellent tools, however, after reviewing the TSA "Knife" requirement, I find that this would not be considered TSA approved because of the pointed scissors that are included as well as "Customers are prohibited from bringing on board any device to alter or limit the functionality (permanently or temporarily) of any aircraft structure, seat assembly, tray table, etc." You might want to actually consult the TSA regulations before claiming this.

Seems like a beautiful tool. But it would be better in stainless; there have been too many reports of the black coming off on users hands.

4 Prof. Jason Chen - APR 8, 2015

Since it's design for bladeless/kinfeless environment such as office or in-flight travel. Would you mind to use material such as harden aluminum / titanium or any alloy with less density that could pass metal detector. Product like that... you could put a disclaimer that 5-yr warranty (instead of lifetime) and subject to TSA decision for carry-on.
