Multi-Plier 600 - DET Black, Sheath
When you put this tool in the skilled and steady hands of a combat engineer, the first thing he'll probably say is something like this: How the devil did I ever get along without this? Its a fair question when you consider the compact versatility of the D.E.T.
The hearty stainless steel is coated with a black, non-reflective coating that will never produce a give-away glint while working in the sun. Our patented one-handed opening plier mechanism can be a lifesaver in the field, whether you're under the gun or not.
Unique to the D.E.T., a punch for C4 explosives and a blasting cap crimper. Then there's the pure, can-do functionality of the premium RemGrit blade for severing cable. The ballistic nylon sheath is part of the package.

Agree with assessment concerning the addition of scissors. Bought mine when they came into the system, still serves in my bug out bag to this day.
Absolutely great, blows the mutt away, but one recommendation, scissors. I had to remove the can opener and replace with scissors, which was tricky, but worth it. I actually had another 600, so just switched them around. I was carrying both, now just one bad ass tool.
Awesome piece of kit, light and won't get stuck on a cap like my MUT did. Only thing I dislike is in the description it talks about C/E, this is more an EOD tool ;)
A nice bit of kit, however it NEEDS scissors. I have to carry a seperate tool just for that purpose. Loose the can opener and replace it with scissors. Who needs a can/bottle opener when working with explosives?
First let me just say that I have been using Gerber equipment for over twenty years, I have been in the military and law enforcement for well over thirty years, and our agency DHS/CBP has been using you multi-tool for at least fifteen of those years or more, they are issued to all of our officers and we put them through a lot of abuse if not on the edge of miss-use in some cases because of the type of work we do, Inspections on the border are difficult to explain because of the diversity of each job that we do, but I can say this. When I am allowed to order them for our team Gerber is on the top of our list when it comes to the multi-tool. From opening fifty-five gallon drums, to sea containers, searching ships, inspecting vehicles, cargo and even out in the desert cutting fence wire and cutting open contraband. Dose you product fail? Well of course, but only when misused or just used so much over time it will eventually wear out, but I have carried your multi-tool for literally years everyday using it and all I can say is that over all the products on the market yours is by far the best for cost and use on the market that you can get, I have been given other type of multi-tools and they are much more expensive, they mitt have different types of tools and designs but they usually have to be opened with two hands or they will fail or break and replacing them is just a big hassle because of the limited amount of them out there. But your product is in so many stores and replacement is so much easier. So I rate it on the top of my list for any situation from hunting to military, survival. I have one in every vehicle I own and in all my bug-out bags. And I carry one every day on my duty belt. So when it time to order multi-tools I go to Gerber every year when our budget is approved.
“Just in my humble opinion”

I have used this peice of kit durring my past four deployments. Propable my most used tool of all. It has been copied by others but never matched in regaurds to weight and size! Thank you for gitting it right the first time.
got it while going through urban breacher school, things awesome. pretty much everything you need like EOD said
I've alway's diliked the fact that when you are using the "PLIERS" on any of the TOOLs, is that ii is a narrow/or smal l 'piece' of metal( what-ever ) , if the JAW's 'slip-off', they SLAM-Shut and PINCH yor finger's to where you eventually have them "BURST". This bause's future ITEM's to make future difficult, w/ a VERY SLIPPERY Tool to use. Pain minimal, but use DIFFICULT>
Awesome piece of gear. Everything you need in one tool.
my new tool for AV control work.
The Disposal Explosives Tool is a fantastic choice for demolitions experts. Developed with operators and schools for demolition, it has ten functions including a blasting cap crimper, a pick especially for punching a hole in C4, and a special saw blade to cut through plastics and pipes.
