Cable Dawg Tool, ACU
Made for U.S. Military communications personnel and telecom professionals out in the field, the Cable Dawg is a specialized, industrial grade multitool for work on fiber optic, IT, and satellite cable systems. Every single tool a communications specialist needs is combined into one - spring-loaded wire and cable cutters, CAT5 jacket cutter, RJ45 crimper, wire strippers, combo-edge knife and multiple drivers. The Cable Dawg attacks the job efficiently, safely and quickly, cutting out multiple trips to the toolbox, base camp or work truck.
*In 2012 the Cable Dawg received an update to the RJ45 crimper that more confidently connects commercially available plugs.

It's kind of unfair that only active duty can purchase the cable dawg. Being prior service and currently working in the cable industry I feel I should qualify to purchase this item
i love it !!!!!!!
RJ45 crimper pins are uneven, does not make solid terminations on pins 1, 2, 3 of RJ45 modular connector.
10-24 gauge wire strippers do not line up, nicking copper when stripping.
Knife locking mechanism is very stiff and feels cheap.
Overall poor cons
We were able to take a closer look at the Gerber Cable Dawg at Warrior Expo West. It is an impressive tool designed specifically for military Information Technology specialists but in our conversations with readers we have come to realize that it has just as much applicability in the civilian market.
