Covert - Double Bevel 154CM, Black, Serrated
As legacies go, a man could do worse than being survived by the famous knife he designed. Such is the case with the late Colonel Rex Applegate. He was one of this proud nations top authorities on close-quarters combat in particular, and fighting knives in general. The Applegate-Fairbairn Covert stands with the Applegate-Fairbairn Combat as lasting symbols of the colonels dedication, expertise, and sense of purpose.
It should come as no surprise that these two knives are known internationally as best-of-class among folding tactical knives. They've rightfully earned a reputation for unmatched strength, durability and balance.
More than that, tactical professionals have high regard for the high carbon stainless steel blade. As well as the glass-filled nylon handles, and the patented rotolock. The Combat has the added convenience of a hearty pocket clip.

I have had this knife for 3 years now and I would say that this knife is the best one I have ever owned. The Pros: (1) it's beautful - It has nice clean lines and a solid feel. I have not gotten tired of looking at it. (2) the liner lock - I do not have any fear of the blade closing on my fingers. When it is locked open, it feels like a fixed blade. (3) Nice grippable handle - The handle is made of a nice easy to hold material.
The Con - The clip loosens a bit too easily. I think that this may be normal for a knife I carry everyday. I have tightened it a bit with more tension.
GET IT!!! You won't regret it. :-)
Bought one of these in the Clothing Sales store. Although I am not a fan of folding knives, I have to say that this knife is changing my mind. It is SOLID when it is open. There is no play in the blade, no wiggle in the handle and the double locking feature lets me know that the blade won't close up across my fingers.
I bought one of these at the base exchange and can say it is one of the best knives I have owned, definately the best small clip knife. Easy to open and close, the lock keeps it from closing accidentaly, and even though it's been exposed to a wide variety of conditions and chemicals it's always ready to go.
