This lightweight everyday carry knife has an open frame that is the ultimate in minimalist design. Easy to clean, carry, and open, the Paraframe is an effortless addition to your pocket or belt clip. Available in multiple blade variations, this knife handles it all.
The smallest of the eight knives in the Paraframe series, the Mini is based on the same frame-lock design. It’s a beautifully simple open frame knife with a serrated locking blade that is lightweight, easy to clean and opens effortlessly. Built with a smooth stainless steel handle and a clip for secure travel, the Paraframe Mini is what a small everyday carry folder should be.
Just bought this knife. Not impressed. Hard to open and harder to close. The clip is so tight it damages the pocket when I tried to put it in my pocket.
I actually hate this knife. If I hadn't lost my Kershaw last week I wouldn't have it.
I have had this knife for 8 years or so. I love it. Its small enough to not notice in your pocket but handy enough to use on almost anything. I would buy another one but the one I have just won't stop working.
Bought this knife really cheaply in a KMart last week. I love it! A teenage girl, I have very small hands. This knife fits well. My one complaint is that the pocket clip doesn't accommodate tough/thick fabrics very well.
One of the best knife and I got this one from the Basic Survival kit - one of the best things to purchase and really useful kit outdoors.
the knife came really sharp, its lightweight and its small. The frame lock is a little hard to close but its better to have a strong lock and a strong blade than to have a loose lock and a blade that has a chance to swing down and cut your fingers.
great knife for edc
very sharp and a good weight i think a thum stud would be cool though
This knife was my first gerber and it set the bar for me. it was extremely mobile and sharp, it was very easy to sharpen (which rarely happened) and the serrated edge is awesome! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good all around knife ready for any odd job you throw at it. And when they say lifetime warranty Gerber means it!
Got the knive in the Bear survival pack which I bought to venture into the Ecuadorian jungle (with native indian guides). They were genuinly impressed with the versatility of the knive, not to mention its sharpness and its size. Since they use machetes for almost anything it was a joy to see them cut small branches, peel fruit and even skin small animals with it :). Question though, a friend of mine told me it's impossible to sharpen it, though it stays sharp, and is still in mint condition for the time being....any suggestions would be welcome.
Found this on a construction site, the color of the metal after a few years of use made it far to beautiful to leave sitting in the debris of the site. it has not left my side since that day coming in handy more than once in my travels. great at every thing from cleaning a kill to cutting tinder. more than once it was all I had to fight off every thing from a wild boar to a bobcat. I owe my life to this sturdy dependable blade. I cannot imagine the tragic end that met the fellow who lost this blade on that fateful day.
I received this knife as part of an $80 credit for defective Gerber knives.
This thing is junk to be honest. The blade is nearly unusable. The serrations are very poor and the fine edge portion of the blade was ground in such a way that it cannot be sharpened. The knife is very light and delicate. It should have had a thumb stud, on a knife this small it's hard to open. the liner lock is terrible, I cannot express my disappointment in Gerber over the past two years. I can get cheaper knives that are better built than this AND AMERICAN MADE.
Although it's a nice size for dropping in your pocket, it's a little weighty. Sort of like carrying a dollar in coins. It takes two hands to open. Difficult for someone with average size fingers and darn near impossible to open with one hand.
When closed the blade is protected and not capable of accidently opening. When open it has a secure lock but forget about ease of closing. Takes quite a bit of effort to close using your fingertips and nails which tend to get painful after a few times.
If this was a fraction thicker, capable of being open with one hand and with a normal thumb lock, it would be perfect.
I'm returning this one and getting something else.
this knife cuts extremely well and the serrated edge works great.
This knife is a great choice for backpacking. It is light, tough, and strong for those needs for a knife. Cleans a fish in just minutes. Cuts tinder in a jiffy. This is what I carry when backpacking the Wasatch and the Uintas.
i like it very much
I've had many different pocket knives over the years, carrying them either for work or just as an every day knife, and this Mini Paraframe knife is easily the best folding knife I've owned. Highly recommended.
Great knife. I got it in the Bear Grylls "basic" kit and it has yet to fail me. It came pretty sharp, although I gave it a few swipes across a whetstone. The blade has a kind of paint to reduce reflections everywhere but the edge. It is supposed to be a two-handed open, but if you squeeze the blade with your pointer finger an thumb, and then push the clip with your middle finger, you can get it open with one hand, although it takes some practice. Over great knife for the price.
useful for everyday need a brilliant knife
Looks good, small and light but blunt as hell. Rather dangerous blunt knife. Problem opening a packet of chips with it....my good old issue Swiss made Victorinox is way better then this Made in China eye candy.
scout mini is beter
I have this knife and it is an amazing one so far. My advice is to get the survival basics kit because it is only ten more bucks. U should check it out
Well made knife. Well worth the money.
This knife is great to have everywhere you go. I clip it in my jeans and the clip is very strong. You can use it in public without scaring anyone since it's small and light.
great for camping and as a back up knife
i got one off these knifes when i was 8 and i lost it i found it a coulple years later but it got stolen ang just bought its older brother, i love it came razor sharp and its held up in the dirt for a coulple years this knife is amust get ive had 2 ive loved so much
Excellent knife. I own many of your products including the appocolypse kit.
First rate. Excellent DCK
good knife very comfortable grip
I have many knifes but this little gerber fits right in your hand like it was made for it.The next knife will be the gerber paraframe with the plane blade.I like this knife alot.
I have had mine for less than a year and love it for an everyday carry knife. My problem is the blade has become loose and wobbles and will not tighten using the allen fitting.
I LOVE this knife it is awesome for edc and GREAT for tasks you run into everyday but it is a little bit on the small side but the paraframe 1 and paraframe 2 fix that problem
this is the best knife ever,if you are dabating on buying it, just buy it!!I got this a while ago, and it is so durable, well balanced, very sharp and undestructable!
As said, this knife comes very sharp, and the clip is tight. HOWEVER: After about 6 months of use the lock no longer functioned very well, and this happened to my friend who had the same knife as well. I didn't care that much and it looks great, which is why it got away with 4 stars. Fix the lock and it would be 5.
Great knife, perfect for urban every day carry. I own two, my only issue is the inconsistency I find in Gerber sharpness out of the box. The first one I bought was razor sharp perfect, which inspired me to get a second one, that one required a fair bit of sharpening before use. Overall great knife just be sure to test it when you get it.
Great knife for the price razor sharp, really sturdy and compact. I love it.
ANYBODY SHOULD BE CARRYING THIS DAILY
I've had this knife for over a decade and it has yet to fail me. I've used it to open packages, dig a cobblestone block out of a street, prune branches, open bottles, pry open a frozen car door, and about a million other things a knife should and should not be used for.
OK, this was the best buy I've ever made, this is the EXACT type of knife I needed for my for my home made survival kit (based off of the survival kits you have.) so thank you :D 5 stars!
Great knife i love to practice throwing and these are perfect from its lightweight and stability there is a problem though... The clip is almost impisible to use.
I love this knife it works great it came razor sharp right out of the box and does it's job it never failed me
I love this knife its light weight and easy to carry i will always carry this knife with me thanks gerber
Love this knife is came razor sharp out of the package. It makes a great little pocket knife to carry where ever i go. I love it
The Mini Paraframe is nice, but could stand some improvements: First, use 420C steel instead of the stuff it's made of now; it won't hold an edge very long. Second, add thumb studs instead of fingernail nicks for opening.
The Mini Paraframe is great. It was sharp out of the box, and its really light. Would have preferred a fine edged blade, but serrated was all the store had.
THIS KNIFE IS GREAT!! It holds an edge even after opening all that stuff on Christmas day and came razor sharp. It is great for use in dress or jean pants and will fit quite nicely in a flannel chest pocket.super light and easy to clean its one of my best and favorite knives........next step.....Gerber evo.
very good knife; saved me many times
Takes abuse sharpens well and opens easily even when coated in dirt
i will review it in hopes that it goes back in production.best pocket folder ive abused and needed it to be there with an edge and its performed flawlessly!
love this pocket knife hold edge well and the clip hold shape well ive had the same one for 5-6 year
