Multi-Plier 600 - Needlenose Stainless
We can think of about 600 reasons why this much-applauded multi-tool belongs on your belt. But don't worry, we'll just stick to the most important ones here. Like profound versatility, for example. And failsafe performance. And a level of rock-solid design and construction that pleases the eye and satisfies the soul.
It all begins with high quality stainless steel. Then we incorporated Gerber's patented one-handed opening pliers. Of the 6 models available, three feature the standard needlenose plier and the other three have our bluntnose configuration.
You'd be hard pressed to find a more rugged or more fearless multi-tool out there. But go ahead and look around a bit. See what you think. Then cmon back to Gerber and pick the Multi-Plier 600 that truly suits your needs. We're building plenty.
- Patented one-hand opening Multi-plier
- Solid stainless steel construction
- 14 tools
- Includes Lifetime Limited Warranty
Bought a pair of these over 3 years ago. I use these nearly every day on the job, even used them as a hammer multiple times! I can't even put into words what these have been through!! the only trouble I've ever had is the wire cutters eventually dull some,(which is to be expected, considering all of the hardened wire I've cut with them) and had to order the lock clip/button because of the last time I thought they were a hammer. . but they still work very nicely! NOTE: I do not recommend using these as a hammer but that's just how tough these really are.
GERBER FOR LIFE! I purchased this Gerber multi-tool model more than 20-years ago. Last week I sent my Gerber in for warranty/repair work. After more than 20-years of faithful service, one of the locking-jaw pivots broke and the phillips-head screw drive was worn down. Today I received a package from Gerber - Gerber replaced my multi-tool with new-in-box current model with matching sheath. Thank You Gerber! As an owner of several of your products, you've provided great service and satisfaction - which matches the great confidence I have in both your products and guarantee....GERBER FOR LIFE!
I bought an older version of this in 2000 at my first fleet unit [CSSG-3] at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. I still have it and it sees regular use. One of the best tools I've ever owned.
I remember a time when Swiss army knives were the only multi-tools available. Back then I was given the biggest one available as a gift and it didn’t take long before I realized it was too big and clumsy and had more stuff on it than I ever will use. Now I travel a lot as a technician for the Navy and I’m picky about the tools I carry because I can only take what is essential and I don’t have room to carry big, clumsy tools that have unnecessary features. Of all the multi-tools Gerber has to offer I find the MP600 to be the best. Although it’s not “fully loaded”, it has the features I need and use all the time including the lanyard ring (kept it from getting dropped more than a few times). To improve versatility I couple the MP600 with the 10 piece tool set (item number 45200). The highlight of the tool set is the adapter that allows the use of any brand of ¼ inch bits with the multi-tool thus allowing it to be customized to the needs of the user. I use my Gerber daily and I know it will last a lifetime as long as I continue to use it as designed and maintain it like any other quality tool.
This is the third Gerber multi-tool I've had in the past 20 years. The only reason that I've gone through three is because of my breaking the knife blades off using them for what they where not intended for such as prying :(.
Other than that I use it many times daily. I would be totally lost without it and consider it one of my most valuable tools.
I have had you 600 series needle nose for almost 10 years now, I must say it's the best tool I own, no rust or pitting, works flawlessly everytime,
My husband loves it! He carries it every where sometimes even to church. The unfortunate thing just happened he lost it at work, and I'm sure it will not be where he thinks he lost it. I syre do hope he finds it because it is like a third hand for him and the church does not have any tools at the building.
Great tool have had this tool for three years now and the only problem is the small screwdriver end twisted off . Knife keeps razorshape edge.
I have had two of these. One went overboard and the other was stolen. I do a ton of sailing and love the tool. Two improvements need to be made. First is the rusting from salt water, really you can't figure this one out? A real lanyard clip would be extremely helpful. As a fid it has no peers.
I purchased this tool on base and less than a week from purchase it started rusting and pitting! I love the tool, it is very well built and sturdy, the tools are decent quality.. I with the knife were larger but other than that its a good tool. But the rusting within a week! come on!
I received this tool in 1999 along with a Mag-lite mini flashlight. Although the light went out years ago, the tool has proven itself over and over again as I use it for a lot of small projects. I really like this tool and would recommend it to anyone.
I have had a pair of your Gerber #47530 Multi-Tool Plier 600. Needle Nose Pliers for 4-5 years and in the first 6 months, one of the few toimes I neede to use the pliers to loosen a battery terminal nut the pliers broke with a marginal amount of force.
I finished the job with amuch cheaper Fiskars Multi Tool and have used ever since, just now broke.
I have finally decide to repair or check the lifetime warranty, of course who would still have the proof of purchase? I then look for replacement parts to make it useable again ( it took me 10 seconds to remove the clips and pull out broken parts, and would be just as easy to replace with a new one) but I am unable to find theses anywhere and just read in a blog that you do not sell replacement parts, is this true?
I am very dissapointed with your product and warranty! Please tell me you can replace those parts. Thank You
I own several 600s, and my daily carry is one of the first ones without the plastic locking clips, that I've owned since highschool.
These are excellent, durable multitools and I hope they stay that way.
I own a few Gerbers but this particular Gerber has been with me for many years, since the military on multiple deployments overseas and has never failed me. I've seen special forces operators carry this tool and reassured me on the reliabilty of Gerber.
One of the best tools I have ever owned. Puts Leatherman to shame.
I bought this tool in March of 2001 and have carried it everyday since, both on duty and off. I have had the sheath get caught up in seat belts, arm rests and many other things and it is still hanging on strong it has out lasted every belt that I have carried it on. The sheath is just as strong as the tool. but only this tool , I have bought other Gerbers and the sheath didn,t last a month!!!
I have the Gerber Multiplier that was given to me by my father-in-law for Christmas almost 20 years ago. I have worn it almost everyday except for the short period of time I had to return it to the factory becasue of a broken locking gear about 15? years ago.
Still works great and can not tell anyone how many times I have used this tool in how many different jobs.
Once you get used yo having it I feel lost without it. Hate it when we travel abroad and I must risk packing it in my suitcase where it can get lost or stolen.
Don't know how I could get upgraded to one of the new ones since this seems unlikely to wear out if it continues on like this!
i have had my gerber 600 for about a week now its a great tool i carry a leather-man for now till i get mine fixed i use my gerber when i am in the field or on the farm keep up the good work
HAVE HAD MINE OVER TEN YEARS AND LOVE IT USE IT NUMBEROUS TIMES EVERYDAY THE BEST MULTI PILER U WILL EVER OWN
I used an older one of these everyday when I was in the army. It was an awesome little tool. Got me out of a jam many times. I even got to the point where I didn't feel right if it wasn't on my belt. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I preferred the normal plain edge drop point that they used to have. I don't really care for the current blade shape, especially when there is already a serrated sheep's foot blade on it.
I use this tool every day in the feild and on my vehicle, it performs beyond expectations and beleive me im hard on tools and equip. gerber you have made a fine peice of equipment thank you!!
There is no better tool than Gerber. I've had one on my side since 1995. Can't leave home without it. Never had a leather-man and probably a great tool but I will never know because you cannot beat the one hand operation of a Gerber.
I just got this, and i love it, locking system is just awesome! Love it, from Finland.
I have had this tool for over 10 years even had it shipped back from Florida instead of throughing it away can't live with out it .
I broke the saw and 2 other bits in hader used then suppose to but now it is wearing out time for a new one
This is the current issue multitool in the army. Comes with a neat ACU pattern sheath with a Molle Clip. And the issue one is in the subdued black color with the carbide-tungsten wirestrippers.I have about four of these and Leatherman multi tools. Carried this into two separate deployments and it has not failed. Good useful tool to have on your belt or toolbox.
I've had the same 600 series tool on my belt since 1999. I couldn't live without it. Thanks for a great product.
Great multi tool. Every thing is well made and high quality. But the cutters are absolute junk though. They can't even cut fishing line. Other than that I love this tool and I would certainly buy another one.
I have this tool but have broken the needle nose pliers when pinching down on a pipe and it twisted on me other wise I would still have it this is a great tool I am planing on buying another one/
I've use this tool everyday for more than a decade, and it works as good today as it did when I first bought it, incredible durability, and quaility. I would say that I would definitely buy one again, but the thing is unless I loose it, I may never have
