5 Amazing hunting blade Dalton Wilcox - JUN 25, 2014

This full tang blade has amazing quality and reliability. I have cleaned every sort of game from water fowl to deer to wild boar etc. and this knife has never failed to get the job done. I have had it for about a year and have only needed to sharpen it 3 times. The sheath is of great quality. It is extremely durable and will not let your knife fall out. It also has no wiggle room so there is no noise when on the hunt. GREAT JOB Gerber.

5 Bushcraft Cody - FEB 17, 2014

Great knife. Was looking for a new fixed blade knife and this suits all my needs. Was a bit skeptical on the handle at first. It felt really smooth and not as grippy as I'd expected. Hold an edge really well. Sharpener works really well. I didn't use it on this knife but I test it on another. Not ideal for fine sharpening by any means but will do the job for on the field sharpening. Over all great knife. Can't wait to throw some para cord through the hole of the handle. Should be great. Thank you gerber

5 Your Title Josh Tobler - NOV 16, 2013

One of if not the best hunting knive I have come a crossed in my hunting knife search, I purchased the combo set with the gut hook and small utility knife. Have never looked back. The quality is top notch, stays Sharp even after deboning a mule deer, and fairly light. Carbide sharper works well and would recommend it to any one!!

love the knife, sheath needs a better fit, rattles horribly...is there a new sheath available? i bought this knife for hunting, but it makes so much noise in the sheath when you walk that it is useless for hunting.

1 Hunter Mac - OCT 28, 2013

Poor fit of sheath to blade, rattles horribly. Any hunting equipment should be silent, appears to be a basic design flaw in the fitup between the blade thickness and the width of the sheath. perhaps they all don't rattle, but mine rattles so bad its hard to believe that any have proper fitup. Sheath doesn't taper towards the tip as the blade thickness does, and the friction fit at the blade handle interface to the sheath isnt tight enough to prevent lateral blade motion within the sheath. I left a message with my phone number at your 800 number, and shook my sheath into the phone so you could hear the noise. Please advise if there is an updated sheath available. Thank you for your attention. I have enjoyed many Gerber products over the years (the LMF2 is my favorite knife and has an appropriately silent blade/sheath fitup and retention) and am hopeful that my concern can be remedied so that I can continue to enjoy your products. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. I would be happy to provide some free quality control consulting on how to measure and prevent these issues on future products.

I would like to get this knife. I have some like it butthey are mine so I wwould like to have this one.

5 Hunter Justin - MAY 3, 2013

This knife seems well built and suited to a variety of hunting tasks. The sheath makes no noise, and both the knife and sheath have rubberized portions to improve grip.
