GatorMate - Clip Point, Fine Edge

Ever notice how alligators are completely indifferent to the weather? Well these prized knives are kinda the same, because they perform to their fullest whether the conditions are wet or dry. If there's a job to be done, our Gator Folders are more than up to it. But that's not just Gerber talking. Heck, when we debuted the Gator Folders back in 1991, the insightful attendees at Blade Show named our reptilian creation as the Most Innovative Knife of the Year. And our competitors did the voting... Acclaimed those fourteen years ago and as popular as ever today, the Gator Folder employs advanced thermoplastics with an alligator skin texture to deliver a stunningly reliable, ultimately comfortable grip. Who could have guessed that the feel of reptile scales would be so satisfying? Anyway, there are seven models to choose from. Each with a lock-back mechanism. And each with a blade made of stainless steel that's as rugged as they come.

5 Hunt/fish/shoot R.W. Lowe - OCT 24, 2012

I have carried a "Gator-mate" for years. This is the knife that is either in my day pack, or pocket when hunting.
Whether I am hunting white tails, elk, or birds this is all the knife I need.
The gator mate holds its edge well, and though small in size (for what most people think) it will do any reasonable job it is required to do.
The blade is still solid at the folding hinge point after years of use.
This is something that many other folders fail at.
Their hinge pins loosen after just a little use.
Compact and light, this is a knife that is worthy of a serious look for anyone who hunts.
