Gator - Clip Point, Fine Edge

Grandpa sadly passed last April and just found a box addressed to me while cleaning out some of his stuff. This had to have been his favorite knife, so now its mine.

have been buying gerbers for years, and have had this one since 1990. has been on several deployments and when i say that it has been used, i mean it has been USED! read 'abused'. and it has still help up like a champ in saltwater environments and some of the worst abuse i could possibly think to throw at it. great job gerber, will write back when and if it finally fails :)

I have owned my gator grip since they came out very good knife. It has take quit a beating and stood up to it

i have carried carried one of these knives ever since being introduced to them while i was in the military. they are that dependable gone through a few of them but always have had one

this is the knife that can take a beating and not worry about it this is the best perfect folding knife ever

Best knife ever! The grip is so natural that it feels like an extension to my arm. It's the best knife I own and has lasted many years. When it's worn, it picks up an edge in a snap.

Have used this knife for two years now. It has held up to everything i've thrown at it, and everything it's been thrown at. The handle stays nice in cold weather, and grippy when wet. Not too large, but always large enough to accomplish the task at hand. My favourite knife.

Had this knife for fifteen years, it sparked my interest in knives. Best knife I own, and i own a lot! Incredably strong, and even when kept in my tackle box it does not rust. I would recomend this knife to anyone who needs a durable, reliable knife, oh and that grip is hands down the best

This is a great knife and an all-time favorite of mine. I have had one stolen in Ft Campbell. Recently after viewing Bear Grylls use one in the first season of Man vs Wild, I decided to buy one. And to replace te one I lost. Along comes my 12-year old son, who decides to claim it for himself. :) I decided to give it to him and I went ahead and ordered a Gator 2, which is a nice improvement on the Gator 1.

i have owned this knife all my life have had many stolen from me dropped one in a lake and continue to buy this knife it is the best knife i have ever owned the edge dulls easy but takes litterally 5 min to get it back razor sharp if you know how to sharpen a knife this knife is quite litterally in my very own oppionion the best knife anyone could ever have thanks for the memories gerber i will continue buy these knives for myself and all those i love

I have an older Model 650. It's agreat kinfe, however, it doesn't hold an edge well. The up side of that is that it takes an edge easily.

I wish this exact handle was on a fixed blade. The handle is perfect.

I have had a gator since 1997 still using the same one today almost everyday use it holds an edge great and is the best knife i have ever owned.

my dad has used these knives for years and now i do i have a new one thats always on my hip and one of his old ones thats 12 yeas old now and its still extremely shap and it was his work knife that has seen a lot of abuse the only reason i dont carry it is because some chemicals have spiiled on the handle ruining the rubber grip the blade and grip under the rubber a still perfect

Best knife in the world keeps it edge amazingly it is much better then gator 2 does not rust razor sharp after3 years of abuse
