Known as the international best-in-class folding tactical knives, the Covert family takes another leap forward with the addition of the Mini Covert Auto. Our popular Applegate-Fairbairn S30V steel blade folder gets quicker with a new spring-loaded auto release that rapidly deploys the S30V tactical blade with the push of a button.
The addition of this knife is a perfect way to complete a collection, while also owning a perfectly balanced auto-opening knife. The Mini Covert Auto is the perfect example of a small tactical auto with everyday carry abilities - light, strong and discreet.
I have had this knife for a weak, and I absolutely love it.my only problem with it is the safety does not stay but asides that totally recommend it.
I have one of these autos. It's a piece of crap. The safety doesn't hold. I asked if it could be repaired, but Gerber's response was essentially "mail it into us after you fill out a report, and since you're not active military or LE, we won't send it back to you, but give you store credit". Y'all can go pound sand! Autos are legal in Texas. Microtech changed their policies to meet current laws. Gerber needs to get onboard, and own up to their screwed up products! If I can't trust it in the garage or garden, I will advise my friends in the military and LE to avoid these lousy products. By the way, my Microtech has been very reliable.
A fun toy to show your knife friends. Scares liberals which makes it 3 stars. Otherwise, the miniaturization of the action does not work well. The safety loosens up (week 2) and it opens in your pocket very easily. I like a razor edge so cannot carry this one! I intend on disassembling this one under magnification and rework the safety. Buy the full size version.
Can't review knife as it does not open when release button is pushed...and yes , safety was off. I have been a huge fan of Gerber for several decades as my father is a retired 1st Sergeant and the knives he used at work happened to be the knives we used at play such as fishing, camping, and hunting. My boys keep asking me why I am a glutton for punishment and just buy a different brand of knife. I keep telling them there is no other brand of knife; however, Gerber, you are making it vey hard to continue to do so. I don't expect a $100 + knife to simply not function out of the box. And what is this N designation at the end of my knifes number
Way too expensive for what you get. The belt clip is a piece of junk that ultimately led to my wife losing this knife. Never again.
I own the full size and love it so much that I went out and bought the Mini for times when the full size is too big to carry. A great knife but my only complaint is after three weeks of carry, the safety is so loose it disengaged on its own and the knife has opened in my pocket.
Love this knife. I had the non-auto version before buying this one. I'd happily buy again. I only have it 4 stars because the blade is beginning to be a little loose in the closed position (not locking completely) and because gerber still charges $3 to sharpen, when most knife companies are free.
Very nice knife. The lock is very secure so I'm confident that it won't open in my pocket or when clipped on my gear. Very light, it weighed in just under 57 grams after I oiled it. Do yourself a favor and put a little gun oil on the mechanisms when you get it and operate the lock and blade several times.
Great knife. Had it for almost a year now with absolutely no problems. Very quick and good looking. One of the best knives around.
This knife looks great I would love to own it, I'm looking for an upgrade from my previous knife which was a gerbee mini covert
I bought this knife a month ago and could not be any happier with the performance of this 3 ECD blade.
