I purchased one of these lights prior to my deployment to Afghanistan; where I am currently; and it performed amazingly. I never had issues with the light not being bright enough. Recently, while out on mission, I fumbled my light and slammed it in my truck's door, nearly breaking the outer shell in half. The inside battery compartment held just fine and to my surprise, the light still functioned. It continued to do so until the batteries died. With the way the light was smashed, I am still unable to replace the batteries. Great light all around and worked well for multiple purposes.
