i have own this knife for 2 years now and have never sharpened it. recently, i killed, dressed ad did all of the butchering on a white-tailed deer, its still very sharp. the only drawback is the belt clip which i bent the first week i owned it, it now has a better draw out of the pocket.

Best knife i've owned so far... as some people said it takes a while to get used to opening it, but i can easily open it with one hand now, blade is still sharp after mediocre use, can't wait to take it camping

Had the knife for 5 days now.
Yes its stiff to open but every knife is when you first get it. Some folding knives need to be broken in. I've had it for several days now and every chance I get, I'm continuously opening and closing it to break it in. I also can't seem to stop twirling it around my finger hahaha. I was able to open it one handed from day one. It was difficult but I got it. Now, after breaking it in a bit, opening it up requires me to follow through with my thumb until the blade locks open but the motion is firm, yet smooth and easy. I'd rather my blade be secured into the port in the grip as opposed to having it spontaneously open up in my pocket and accidentally stab myself anyway. This isn't an assisted open knife.
SUPER sharp edge right out the package and a super durable build. No 'wobble' in the blade whatsoever. I've cleaned four squirrels with it now and used it to go through the bones. That didn't even leave a nick in the blade. After cleaning, it was still sharp enough to castrate a gnat.
I love where the clip is located at the end of the grip as opposed to at the hinge. Makes for a really cool draw from the pocket or belt. Great super unique knife! Gerber you have yet again failed to disappoint me.

Dude mike - JAN 4, 2013
this is a decent blade, but VERY difficult to open. In fact, both of the remix knives that I have are IMPOSSIBLE to open single handedly... it's a shame as this design is as practical as one could imagine.

Your Title Max - JAN 2, 2013
Honestly a really good knife. It was given to me as a door prize for a National Guard competition. At first I wasn't impressed with the design, but time after time this knife has been the one I have turned to. It sharpens up to a razor edge with no trouble and holds a edge extremely well. The unusual hinge mechanism is extremely durable. Other folders' pins would have certainly loosened or altogether sheared off under the abuse I have put this knife.

Loved it Kevin Stern - DEC 28, 2012
I got it as an impulse buy at my local Wal-mart. Love the knife, it surprised me with how sharp it was out of the package. This is my best impulse buy ever and will/has made me a loyal Gerber customer. The only flaw I see with this knife is I wish the blade was a little easier to open.

love this knife, super sexy design. my only complaint is that the blade is a little tight. opening with one hand is rather undoable. still a great knife overall.

I've been carrying this knife for about 6 months. I use it everyday. This is the best pocket knife I've ever purchased. I touch up the blade weekly. Great knife!

Liked it and disappointed Miller - SEP 3, 2012
I am 12 years old & I have lots of Gerber products. I like to collect and use my knives. I liked this from the very beginning after the blade loosened up and used it often, I am disappointed b/c the clip came off & now I can't clip it on my pocket. I was wondering if you would fix it. Your future loyal customer. Thanks

Nice looks, comfy feel, good material. As mentioned before the the pivoting ring part of the blade is thin and poses a possible failure point during harsh use, and more likely to break in cold climates. The two trim rings that thread into each other seem a little weak and misaligned indicating a flaw in quality control as it is not easily missed, blade material is about right for the price but not my favourite. This knife found its home in my girl's purse. she (not being the avid knife fanatic as i am) found it comfortable, small enough and thin enough for concealment, and the way it looks lends itself well to the surroundings typical of a female purse. inexpensive knives such as this are great, just not for me. I would however give this knife to an employee who has achieved a milestone or something worth reckoning for. Id like to see a custom sheath for this knife for the purpose of giving it as a present. Good job once again Gerber, but I think ill stick with the Myth for now.

Manufacturing Engineer Joe W - MAY 16, 2012
Disapointed, blade section around the finger ring broke within the first week. The knife still operates fine but there is a crack on the back side of the ring where the material was thinned out by grinding before assembly. Now the blade overtravels and gets jammed in the open position.

Great design!!! Serg - MAR 17, 2012
The best part of this knife is the handle!!! It feels great and has a really good grip. The knife is strong and steady. Most of my friends are jealous and the awesome part is the price! The swing mechanism is tight but its not like i use it to shank people.

Police Officer J - MAR 16, 2012
For a folder this knife is very sturdy, which is what I was looking for when I bought it. It's not the sharpest folding Gerber I've gotten right out of the package, but it wasn't bad when compared to other brands of similar price.
It was initially stiff, but it opens smoothly now, even so it is slow to deploy. If you plan on using this knife as a defense weapon that is something to consider. However, with the finger hole you're sure to get a secure grip. I would suggest just buying of the Gerber's top end folders instead.

Tight Movment Tim - FEB 26, 2012
One of the best designs I have seen!!!!!
The swing mechanism is a little too tight and take effort to open with one hand, but hope that over time it will loosen with use.

I like it Geoff - FEB 10, 2012
Just bought this knife the other day and I have to say, it's one of the better knives I own. The lock mechanism on it is a little different than I'm used to, but not bad. Sturdy and well built all around, though I expected as much from Gerber. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a small, easy to carry folder.

Mason Devin Holloway - DEC 31, 2011
I had the version with the lock release at the top of the handle, which I prefer, but we'll see how this one holds out (had to toss the other one when I forgot to leave it at home before flying). Other than that, it has been to now an awesome blade, and sharpens easily with a German steel round sharpener.

Your Title Andy - DEC 25, 2011
The clip was loose right out of the box and the mini Torx screws that were holding it on appeared to be cross threaded. It was actually on the verge of falling off. I didn't have a Torx bit small enough to try and tighten them. The knife seems to be OK but I was immediately put off by the loose clip. It wasn't worth the hassle to take it back to Cabelas which was over 2 hours away and I had already lost my receipt. I simply bought another knife from another manufacturer.

Durability is good. Bent the clip, but it was easy to remove and straighten. I carry and use my knife every day. It is a tool and holds up well. The knife holds an edge.
My only gripe is it is too tight to open one handed, and requires a special tool (th

I've had this knife for over a year and had no problems whatsoever. It may not be as bright and shiny as it once was, but it's still 100% functional and a great knife for clipping inside a boot or pocket.

Disgruntled Knife Purhaser Josh Clock - OCT 19, 2011
I bought this knife a few months back and it has already broken on me. Instead of locking when it's folded out, it looks as if a metal spur broke off and now it doesn't lock in place. Completely folded out, it now moves back and forth and has about a 1/4
