E-Z Out Skeleton, Serrated
We don't necessarily make knives to win popularity contests. But in the case of our E-Z Out and E-Z Out Jr. line, we're not gonna complain how they've gained such a dedicated following. Because these profoundly versatile clip folders have certainly done their part to help folks fend for themselves. Cutting the things that need cutting. Think of them as all-around knives for everyday life.
As the name suggests, they're very easy to open and use. All it takes is one hand to smoothly deploy the stalwart stainless steel blade.

Have carried the non skeleton version of this knife in my front right pocket with my keys for 21 years. Its been a very reliable knife. Everything is still nice and tight, open and close still smooth. Very easy to open and close one handed. Lint doesn't gum this out and gathers up for easy removal.
Never had an accidental open, never had it accidentally fold up. For ease of sharpening I kind of wish I would have gotten the non serrated version.
The EZ out, from one version to another has been on my person every day for the last 15 years. It is the fastest and most dependable knife that I have ever carried. I've trained with it, used it as a tool, and for survival purposed while deployed in Iraq. Thank you Gerber for making such an excellent piece of equipment.
I found this Knife on the ground in Iraq in 2005 and it has been by my side since. I have used it for everything only sharpening it occasionally when I cut cable or cardboard with it and it needs it. It went missing just before Christmas so I got a Gerber Order to replace it and am already missing my ez out. I pray I find this thing you can't get a better knife for the price.
This knife served with me through a tour in Iraq and has been going strong for nine years.
Had one of these for a year or two and lost it diving in the keys. Immediately bought another and carried it 13 more years. Recently went missing and if it doesn't turn up I'll get another. I have a lot of knives but this is the only one I want in my pocket every day. Versatile, sturdy, easy to sharpen. I've dragged it through dirt, water, even saltwater. Cut all sorts of things a knife this size and this price shouldn't cut. One pass on a Smith's flat diamond sharpener and it's ready to go again. Super dependable.
I have carried one for at least 15 years that was missing the pocket clip. I was lucky enough to be poking around at a swap meet Saturday and found the very same knife on a junk table for 5 bucks. It even had the clip. Needless to say it is in my pocket too! Thanks for a great knife and wish I could replace the clip on my old one. if they are available e mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I would gladly buy another clip.
It is very compact and strong. Locking mechanism most have. These locks are like knives.
Carried mine daily for almost 20 years. Lost it about a year ago, and I still miss it!
Has been in my pocket every day for the last 10 years. Only needed sharpening twice in that time and I use it constantly. Opens one-handed without the annoying thumb studs. Durable, functional, awesome.
I got this knife in the mail one afternoon as I was about to leave for a camping trip. I was surprised at the size of the knife and its incredibly light weight. It came razor sharp out of the box, making cutting anything into an effortless task. The handle is very comfortable and the rubber inserts really help me grip it securely in my hand while using it. The light weight and low profile mean I almost forget it's in my pocket most of the time, the only trace of it being the confidence that it gives me. This knife seems very promising so far, all combined with its intuitive curvature and pretty yet functional skeleton construction. The pocket clip is sturdy and firm yet easy to draw and has a low profile that doesn't compromise the feel of the knife's handle while being used.
Worked so well till it fell out of my bag and i got suspended
Please, please do not ever stop making this knife. I think it is the best pocket knife ever made! I have carried this knife close to 15 years!
10 years on! Best all around light weight carrier. Stays sharp. Not flashy just performance.
I've used the skeleton as my main pocket knife for the last 4 years. I've never had a problem with it. It's light weight, tough, very easy to open and close with one hand. Keeps an edge well... can't say enough good things about this knife!
I looked for a long time to find a knife that was small enough for pocket carry but still have utility. This knife has been great. The grip is sure, the locking mechanism is solid, the blade is easy to open with one hand and it holds an edge well. The skeleton design helps keep the weight down but it does tend to gather the material being cut. Like the desription says, this is an all around, daily use pocket knife. I'm looking to buy another for my wife.
My dad gave me this knife a few years ago. I keep it in the console of my car most of the time; it gets clipped to my life jacket or pants when I'm playing outside.
I use it for opening stubborn packaging, cutting rope, whittling marshmallow sticks, and anything else that comes up. I highly recommend it, especially for the affordable price.
