AR 3.00 - Black, Serrated
Designed to be a daily carry essential, the AR 3.0 pocket knife possesses a tailored, elegant appearance backed by the integrity of its solid stainless steel blade. This knife works diligently in the hand of its owner while maintaining a low profile in an urban environment. The AR 3.0 pocket knife is a proud Gerber staple in our incomparable series of knives and tools.
THE GENTLEMAN’S POCKET KNIFE
Well-balanced in structure, the AR 3.0 possesses a precisely centered fulcrum. Seamless integration with life’s daily activities is the knife’s forte, from ripping through the tape on a freshly-delivered box to being displayed at a dinner or other elegant establishment without causing alarm, given its subtly graceful lines. This knife’s talent lies in evoking a sense of quiet luxury in those who engage with it.
SOLID AND STURDY ASSURANCE
Featuring a 2.95-inch partially serrated clip point blade made of 440A stainless steel, the AR 3.0 lends itself sturdily to a slew of tasks. Lightness and strength of aluminum with the grippiness of rubber give the handle of this knife a stylish distinction. The champagne-hued aluminum grounded by the authoritative black of the Softgrip inserts blend with a cosmopolitan appearance, but do not diminish the baseline fact of the knife being a solid, powerful aid in troubled times.

This is the best knife ever for so many things. I carry it no matter what I am wearing. People have come to depend on me having it with me. Everyone should carry a pocket knife. From sharpening a pencil to stripping wire with the serrated groove all the way back to sharing an apple I've carried this knife in pockets clipped to skirts and other garments for more than ten years now and my day doesn't actually end until I hear the snap sound the clip makes when I pull it from my pocket
I have had this knife in my pocket since maybe 1999 or 2000. It was been through maybe a half-dozen full wash cycles....still as tight as ever. The Teflon is wearing off but this just adds character.
GREAT BLADE FOR EDC !!!!
I have had the knife in my pocket for about 14 years. Had it overseas in the Army, but I think I abuse it more just around the house. Perfect. Now my 11 year old son thinks it is so cool and is looking at getting him one with his Christmas/ Chore money. Good legacy! Great Knife!!
Not a bad EDC knife. I had one in 2003 and lost it. Realized when I bought this one in 2012, it didn't look and feel the same. Research showed Gerber stopped making the knife in the USA. There is a difference and wish Gerber would go back. This is still a great knife design and would recommend it.
I bought this knife on a whim about eight years ago when I was in the Army and carried it every day for a variety of tasks and it never failed to perform. I even used it regularly while working construction. A few months ago the pocket clip broke off after years of use, but now the knife sits in the bottom of my girlfriends purse and I have a new one in my pocket.
I recieved this knife as a gift from my father a year or so ago, since then it's been my standard carry kinife. It works well in every task I require of it. It's black paint is starting to strip off where the knife has been rubbing against my jeans. Of all the knives in my collection, I trust this one the most.
I love this knife. I first bought it when I got into the military in '04, and I have never bothered with another design. From work to personal use I could always count on it. I have to replace my old one soon..had it for 8 years, but a replacement will be bought soon!!
I have had this knife for nearly eight years and it is my daily carry knife/tool. I have a sailboat and need a knife that will pry with the pointed blade and cut a variety of items with the combination fine and serrated blade. This knife is the most versatile one that I own, I once got a stray line fouled in the prop while motoring and had to cut it free without delay. This knife saved my boat from running aground!
Just bought a new one after wearing my original out that was bought for me in the early 2000's. This is THE best design for ease of use, toughness, and overall design excellence. I love the clip. I wear holes in my jeans where it clips because I use it so often. I'll be late for work if I forget it. That good.
This was the first Gerber knife I bought. This one however looks slightly updated. Anyways about 5 years in with this knife it never failed me and shortly after that I received another Gerber. One that was much much older. After 19 years of use with that one I have hung it up on my wall for display. This one will follow shortly. It's an incredible blade but there does come a time when this one will have to be retired too. That's okay though with all the knives I've owned Gerber has been the top. I used to use Cold Steel but ALL of those have proven to be nothing more but blades that just don't cut it anymore.
I've had this knife for five years and I love it. It is getting pretty dull but the serrated edge makes up for it. I use it fairly often too. The clip is very secure and so is the lock. An overall great knife.
This knife is the best I have ever owned or used. I currently don't have it anymore because I lost it and now I have the Gerber Paraframe. The Paraframe is an outstanding knife also but it just doesn't quite please me the way the AR 3.00 did. Great knife!! Thank you Gerber for making such reliable knives and gear. If it ain't a Gerber then it ain't in my pocket.
I've gone tru about 3 of these knives, and thats not cause they break or suck. Its because this is my favorite knive and i keep loosing them. But i swear my ex took one of them from me.
I'm currently on my second one of these, the first got lost during a morning hay run. I've used it for years, for everything from horseback riding to shop work to opening packages, and it has never let me down. It's tough, light, and compact. As someone who works in fields that practically require me to have a knife on me at all times I would definitely recommend this one!
I have owned this knife and other Geber knives for more than ten years. I have never held a knife or seen a knife out preform and outlast this one. This blade is vertually indestructable. It will melt right through rope like butter right out of the box. Good luck finding a knife that will even come close to out-preforming this one. Love it!
I go camping a lot with my brother, I have two knives in this style, one is the Winchester version though. This one can do anything I need it to do, and more.
I have had this knife for 3 years and have used it as my #1 everyday blade. Although a fan of other companies of fine blades, this one cannot go unrecognized. Tough, lightweight, and perfectly balanced. For the price one cannot go wrong owning a tool of this caliber.
My father bought me this knife on my fifteenth birthday, and I owned it for five years before I loaned it to a friend who dropped it while escaping a landslide. I own a few knives, but I used this knife on and off the job almost every day for that five years, and I've never seen a knife that held up this well. Extremely durable and trustworthy.
I have had this knife for 5 years. I parobably have 25 knives. However, I have carried this knife daily for the job and it has never let me down. I would highly recommend this knife for daily use. It holds an edge. I have cut seat belts, nylon cord, and other small items. Would have given it 5 stars but the screw has worked its way out and is lost. Waiting to see ig Gerber is going to send me a replacement.
