WOW! What a great knife! It is larger than I thought and a little heavier than I thought, but that is all good! Very well made! No play in the blade and it locks very solidly. Oh, and it LOOKS GREAT! You should get one today, and they would make great gifts. I love that it is a USA knife that is so well constructed!
After owning for a week now the 39 series has become my new favorite EDC knife. I love that these are made here in the U.S.A. The stamping on the blade and the Gerber shield stamped on the rivet (by the way Gerber is also stamped on the pocket clip) is a beautiful touch. Pocket clip allows for easy carry. It's a classic but elegant design. This 39 Series feels amazing in my hand. It has just enough weight to provide the perfect balance and it cuts with ease. I was unsure at first what the Cerakote finish was going to be like but have to say it feels amazing. For those who don't know, Cerakote is the same coating that is used on a lot of modern firearms to protect the finish from scratching and also prevents rust. I've been using this knife every day for a week and can attest that the finish holds up the same way it does on firearms. The burnt bronze color is also very attractive. Might have to get a few of these in different colors. Thank you Gerber for making such a good looking and great performing knife.
