Gator Machete Jr

Built Gerber tough, the Gator Jr. is a packable walker annihilation weapon. The two-sided blade has both a fine edge for hacking through the oncoming hordes and a serrated edge for rough-cutting through the brittle bones of the undead. For covert, low-profile travel through hostile territory, the Gator Jr. is the perfect machete for lightweight travel.

*This is also an ideal tool for clearing brush, vines and branches.

5 Perfect for every task it's thrown upon Kjartan Mikalsen - MAY 15, 2012

The blade takes on every task and is very durable. The rubber in the grip gets a little tattered after a while, but problem should not affect it's usage much. The saw cuts through logs in the matter of seconds.
It's big for a knife, and the length of the blade should be used for different tasks. Like the knife used by the sami people in northern Scandinavia, the curved part of the blade should be sharp enough to remove facial hair, and the part closest to the grip should be sufficiently sharp for cutting barbed whire.
These are qualities of an apocalypse survival tool and should be owned by all who wants to survive.

5 paintballer extraordinaire woodsballer - MAR 31, 2012

I have been using this for about a year, it works great clearing trails from 2" branches with a couple of chops to fine grass down low. Get a sharpener, your arm will thank you. I'm sure it's really effective on "Walkers" as well.

4 Your Title wolf 1 - MAR 22, 2012

Just tested while climbing a mountain and trekking through thick brush. Worked fine, especially for the size....could be a bit sharper but that's an easy fix. Perfect size to slide in a rucksack or hang from your waist. Much easier to handle than a larger machete.

5 Just a Guy Jay Cue - DEC 26, 2011

My hunting buddy has one of these and it comes in real handy when we are tracking. I think he is getting tired of me borrowing his, so I ordered one for myself.

5 Outdoors Freddy! - DEC 20, 2011

Got my Gator Jr last week, and have tested it pretty good.
The fact that it is cheap, small, light weight and has a good grip makes all the difference.
Have it at my side at all times.
If you want a sharper blade, sharpen it, but it does it's job as it is.
So if you want a good blade you can clean out some bushes and stuff with, this is your blade. Thanks Gerber!

i just got mine yesterday it is very dull but im going to sharpn it. A NICE MACHEtE

5 Captain Calvin - NOV 30, 2011

Pretty great little blade. Tested on real zombies - hacks off limbs with no trouble. Heads are a bit harder, though, with the 10 inch blade size. You have to get in pretty close and swing hard. The saw blade side is good for field amputations, but honestly, if the zombie got your leg, you're pretty much done, anyway.

5 Sgt. Sgt. Michael P. Gilliam - NOV 11, 2011

Have hacked trees down with no sweat. Have it so sharp it cuts the hair on my leg. and no I dont shave my legs. I have it on the back of my tactical vest. I love it for when the hogs get to close. Havent used the saw blade. Makes 4 Gerber blades I own now.

5 for the price its a good blade kyle murphy - OCT 31, 2011

5 Fast, tactical, and mean DEAD HEAD - OCT 21, 2011

This was the first blade I ever purchased.. 21 blades later, and it is still my first choice. Decapitation? No problem. Easy on your hands, and over all a great zombie killing tool.

5 Private First Class (Veteran) Danny Lewis - OCT 17, 2011

I just saw This on facebook. My first reaction, "What?! Hey I gotta get it!" No matter what, I'm sure this blade would solve some problems!
