Multi-Plier 600 - Bluntnose Stainless w/Carbide Insert Cutters & Tool Kit, Sheath
We can think of about 600 reasons why this much-applauded multi-tool belongs on your belt. But don't worry, well just stick to the most important ones here. Like profound versatility, for example. And fail safe performance. And a level of rock-solid design and construction that pleases the eye and satisfies the soul.
It all begins with high quality stainless steel. Then we incorporated Gerber's patented one-handed opening pliers. Top that off with our patented replaceable tungsten carbide wire cutters . When the cutters become dull or misshapen simply rotate the tungsten carbide cutters 120-degrees, and you've got yourself a good-as-new wire cutter. After three rotations, the entire cutter can be replaced.
You'd be hard pressed to find a more rugged or more fearless multi-tool out there. But go ahead and look around a bit. See what you think. Then come on back to Gerber and pick the Multi-Plier 600 that truly suits your needs. We're building plenty.

Many (30 +) years with I-R and other industrial companies have truly tested my experiences with Gerber multi tools. In the time I did have a problem years ago, the well used tool was sent in for repair and I did receive a new replacement. Now retired and traveling worldwide, but would still not be without my Gerbers.
I received one of these as a gift about 10 years ago and it's never left my side! Yes I don't use like mechanics and technicians would but I must say I's feel naked without it.
Have been climbing towers for 18 years and it has never failed me. Best tool to have when you are 800 feet on a tower to change the lights and need to fix the power connections to them. I would be lost without it.
I bought one these 22 years ago and used and abused the heck out of it, very faithful companion. I recently broke it and thought by chance it could be fixed, didn't think it would be possible nor would it be covered by any warranty. Within a week or so they sent it back with a new sheath and said it couldn't be fixed and something about giving me something new back. I figured the meant the new sheath. I appreciated them taking the time to look at it and send it back and was as satisfied as I figured I should be. Later that day FedEx stops by with a box from Gerber. I'm thinking no way the sent me a new one, but low and behold a brand new 600 with sheath in the box, Holy Cow! I am ecstatic!!! A big thank you to Gerber for standing behind their product and absolutely Wowing the customer. Needless to say I will be buying more of their products for going out their way for me.
THANKS AGAIN GERBER!!!!!
I can't say enough good things about GERBER. The 600 is my new GERBER model which replaces my last one, circa 1994. I still have the 1994 GERBER and it works fine. The bolsters(or pins) became a liitle loose from 20 plus years of wear and tear on the 1994 model. GERBER does not repair non-locking tools for liability reasons. I can't blame them. DON'T FORGET- GERBER has a LIFETIME WARRANTY. If you have a problem send the tool back. GERBER has exceptional customer care and warranty service. I highly recommend GERBER products.
Got this issued to me twice, the tool came out of the box rusted, and the second one rusted after 3 month of use. CLP, Frog Lube or not, it rusts.
A great product can't get through my working day without reaching for the multi-tool.
The only big failing is the Tungsten carbide insert cutters which shattered when trying to cut fencing wire.
First pair of Gerber pliers lasted me 14 years... only cause I lost it or I would still have it on my side. Since that pair, the quality has really dropped off I hate to say but I can't live without them by my side so I just keep buying new pairs.
As a photographer/computer geek /hard head who grew up in Fayetteville North Carolina,Home the 82nd Airborne, Green Beret and Special Forces in the 70's, this tool has been on my hip for the last 17 years. It is never failed me, and continues to prove it's point. Mine is so old that it still has patent pending on it. Love It
I carried the 600 for at least 10 years in the field and used it daily. The springs and pins fell out so I can't use it anymore. I'm buying one for each man on my crew because it will save us hours in the field; they are so incredibly useful in so many more ways than you can imagine. A true working man's tool. Why is this the only blunt-nosed model? I have several other Gerber tools, but none have the jaw capacity of the 600. The one-handed, sliding opener is the deal breaker. The best all-around tool on the market for a carpenter.
I got my first Multi tool in 1992 still have it. This tool has survived a 100 foot fall off a cliff and being run over by Tank twice. I will never deploy with out it.
Have owned a Gerber tool for 16 years and use it all the time.Grear on fishing trips.
I carried my Gerber Multitool through Iraq for 3 years Kuwait for a Year and am on my 3rd year in Afghanistan. All together i had mine for 7 years of PSD and Remote duty Para medicine. I used my tool EVERY day of those 7 years. My Gerber Multitool NEVER failed me. That is until it was kidnapped by persons unknown about a month ago. I put up wanted posters even offering a reward for its safe return unmolested. Needless to say i might as well be pissing in the wind. Whoever has it will undoubtedly use it for another 7 years or ten or whatever. After all that time it was still as good as new. I am on the site to get a new one. I feel as if someone has stolen my child. :-(.
I've owned this tool for over 14 years and have beat the hell out of it . I've used it for everything imaginable and it still performs like new. Solid, well built and I'm proud they're still made in America.
Gods gift to mechanics and outdoors men. Have had mine on my side for almost 20 years .
Great tool for a USMC Machinegunner! It has served me well, and with the warranty that comes with it ensures many more years of use. Carry-on being the best.
