Propel Downrange Auto
Gerber has a long-running relationship with the U.S. military, providing proven tactical equipment for soldiers deploying overseas. The Propel Downrange Auto knife is a direct result of Gerber’s relationship with military personnel, and there’s more to this automatic knife’s design than its desert tan color. Building on the field-proven performance and fast, one-handed blade deployment of the long-popular 06 Auto knife, the Propel Downrange packs the same level of full-size utility and durability in a slimmer, more pocket-friendly profile. The Propel Downrange is as easy to handle and store as it is to open under pressure.
PREMIUM S30V TANTO BLADE
Like a good friend, a tactical knife needs to rise to any occasion, even difficult or unforeseen ones. The Propel Downrange Auto’s proven quick, one-handed opening action is matched only by its premium-grade S30V steel construction. You can rely on the S30V steel blade for all its intended uses and even some unintended ones—like opening that crate, stat—without worrying about compromising blade integrity. The knife’s reliable plunge lock and safety switch keep the blade locked open while in use and safely locked closed when stowed in your pocket. The partially serrated tanto-style blade adds utility when cutting stubborn materials like nylon cord or webbing, but maintains the precise cuts of a fine edge when necessary. The black oxide blade coating minimizes reflectivity and adds corrosion resistance, while the tan G-10 composite handle matches desert camouflage fatigues.
Like a finely crafted tool, the Propel Downrange Auto feels balanced in your hand and is comfortable to hold. The composite G-10 handle’s textured surface provides all-conditions security and can take the beating that comes with field deployment. You can even customize the belt clip to meet your carrying preference. The three-way adjustable clip can be set for left- or right-hand bias and tip-up or tip-down orientation when stowed in your pocket or on your belt.

Great knife that holds an edge well. This has been my go-to for the last year while working as a paramedic, SAR, and contractor. Can't beat the convenience of the one handed operation when time matters or you just can't let go of something.
If you are considering a multi use, sturdy, USA made knife, look no further.
Like this knife but wish it was without serrations
Picked mine up for 90$ not a bad knife
i would personally like this knife to have a non serrated version in the future.
I purchased this knife right after I lost my old Gerber fast draw . I have loved Gerber knives since I was 9, when my dad gave me his old Gerber Bolt Action. anyways I was impressed with the build of this knife, it feels like a portable tank! And it is as durable as one, i've put this knife through hell every day for about a year and she is still holding up strong. the lock has never even thought about failing even with as much pressure as I could put on the spine. I really recommend this knife to anyone who can acquire one legally and I really recommend the propel assisted if automatics are illegal where you live
I've utilized Gerber knives for many years, several of which were when I was on active duty in the Army. This knife far exceeded my expectations for build quality and durability. I highly recommend it.
I have to say that i am a little disappointed with Gerber on this one. I have had an almost life long relationship with Gerber blades at this point and would normally stand by their product as closely as they do. Having said this, this knife has one major flaw. It cannot be serviced or otherwise opened in any capacity. There is threadlocker on all the handle screws and they literally wont budge left or right... I know this because two of mine sheared off at the head as soon as i tried to remove them. What if it needs cleaning... What if the spring needs replaced at some point?? I have sent mine back to Gerber, who is sending me a new one because even they cant service it. It really is a beautiful knife overall and i will carry it and use it because after all... It is a Gerber. But every time I use it I will be reminded of what is maybe its only flaw.
It's my new EDC. Slim and comfortable in the hand. I love the G10 grips and S30V steel. The best knife I own under 100 bucks. It has replaced my Benchmade knives that cost twice as much.
Awesome Job Gerber this will be my every day carry, Replace my old worn Bench made Auto Stryker, Found mine for $150.00 in tucson
I would totally buy one of these knives if Gerber lowered the price to 100 dollars instead of 150. Plus, Gerber would have so many more people buying this knife if they did lower the price. Sales would go ka-boom!
I bought this knife a few weeks ago and loved it. A few days ago the screws started to come loose on the side, the saftey button started to stick. "$140 knife" I called for warranty service which is lifetime. I was told there is atleast a 3 week turn around time like most other people that put trust in our knives 3 weeks is crazy.I would leave my house without my phone before my knife.
It's two weeks old you should be sending me a new knife
Love the look of this blade, and will work well with the rest of my kit...Please let me know when it is available.
Love this knife. I've owned Gerber knives for years, and this is easily one of the best. Quality lock-up, feel, and comfortable to control. Extremely easy to deploy the blade with gloves on. One of my favorite features is the rock solid safety with a very positive on/off position that's also easy to operate with gloves. Thanks to the men and women of Gerber.
Great knife I use it at work and carry it when off. Can not say enough good things about this knife.
This knife is great on duty and does an amazing job for whatever its put up to. Daily work tasks to the extremes this knife can handle it just fine. Its a must for LEO'S or military.

Looks like a workhorse. This knife will become one of my daily tools.
I'd be very interested in a T&E of this knife....
Great knife for EDC. Action is quick but controlled. G10 is extremely grippy in hand. The size perfect for XL hands like mine but still manages a slim profile for pocket carry. Well done Gerber!,
