With a sleek handle that emulates the shape of an airplane wing, the Airfoil clip folding knife is a dexterous addition to Gerber’s already impressive range of folding knives. The aluminum handle is designed to add almost no weight to the overall knife so that it opens with little effort and stays in your hand with equal ease. The Airfoil folder is a clever, attractive addition to the daily contents of your pocket.

SLEEK HANDLE, STURDY BLADE

With its sleek feel and comfortable handle, the Airfoil slides smoothly into your palm. Its equitable structure offers the folder excellent balance for solid application, and its liner lock gives you confidence that it won’t close on your hand during use. A T-shaped thumbstud creates an elegant lever so deploying the manual-opening knife is as second-nature as flipping a switch.

DEFINED AND TOUGH APPLICATION

The blade contains a smartly ribbed spine along the upper bevel which provides excellent grip and control for everyday tasks. Its refined drop point blade is a perfect counterpoint to the hurdles of daily life when a sturdy edge is required.

I've only been carrying it for about a week, but I haven't found an issue yet. Opens smooth, the lock is sturdy, and it looks great. The only reason it doesn't get 5/5 from me is that the blue paint has already started to chip.

Despite outsourcing, Gerber still manages to make some quality knives. I still have a Paraframe 1 from Wal-Mart that I got eight years ago. The Air Ranger G-10 is a thing of beauty. This one ... just sucks, for all the reasons others have detailed. On the other hand, gotta give Gerber credit for NOT deleting bad reviews. No one else does that.

Nice little knife. Yeah its a bit smooth but every metal handle knife i have is like that. It locks up well, feels solid and I don't even feel it in my pocket. Would a G10 grip be better? for sure but I'm happy with this Knife for the money spent.

I have a substantial personal collection of knives probably about 10 of which are Gerber knives, as well i handle and sell knives every day. Never have I held a knife that felt less comfortable to open, less secure in my hand or that I had more concerns about it sliding out of my hand. If you have any interest in this knife for anything other than its aesthetic appeal I would highly recommend you reconsider
