The Answer F.A.S.T. SM assisted opening folding knife, developed in order to provide lightning-quick access to a knife when most needed, is a Gerber tactical innovator. The dual thumb studs operating in conjunction with the smart safety-slide lock offer an intuitive ease of utility. The Answer F.A.S.T SM, building on its larger sibling’s profile, does as the name suggests: once in the hands of the owner, problem-solving is a snap.

The precise tip of the Answer F.A.S.T. SM folding knife’s blade functions to penetrate and sever thick tape and other substantial surfaces while beautifully retaining its gutsy fine edge. With a light but hardy stainless steel blade coated in black oxide for low visual signature, this assisted-open knife can stand up to tough application. The super-solid anodized aluminum handle will tolerate muscular utility while keeping weight at a minimum, and the textured inlay on the handle allows for confident use by its operator. Jimping on the upper handle beneath the thumb and curvature of thoughtfully positioned lower finger grooves are built for easy ergonomic functioning and grip with this sturdy knife when downrange.

Engage the sleek little 2.6 oz. folder’s safety-slide locking mechanism with the thumb once the blade is deployed; the blade can then be closed one-handed after the slide lock is compressed upward merely by flipping it down against a hard surface. Tip-down carry makes it easy to bring the Answer F.A.S.T. SM folder out of a pocket, engage the safety-slide lock, and open it wherever and whenever the need for a knife might arise. A stainless pocket clip is attached, and a lanyard hole in the pommel provides for the option of tie-down for additional security.

It is the perfect everyday carry knife, not too big, not too small, just right. This knife is tough as nails. If you're looking for a good everyday knife that will still take care of business, Here it is! Ignore the bad reviews, those guys aren't very intelligent!

I had this knife for about a year now and i dont carry it anymore. About 2 months of VERY light use. maybe used 5 times, the small screws holding the pocket clip in place stripped out.
