Simple doesn't have to mean boring. On the contrary, the MP1 Multi-Tool is proof that when done with care and 12 professional-grade components, simple can be all you need. A butterfly open design, high quality carbon steel, and spring-loaded pliers are only the beginning.
Gerber’s eFECT was the world’s first military-grade multi-tool designed specifically for the AR-15 / M4 / M16 weapon system. The MP1-AR is the next evolution; a full-size multi-tool featuring implements needed for cleaning and maintaining the weapon system, along with vital everyday tools for the field. The MP1-AR features a pin punch for take-down pins, a contoured carbon scraper for cleaning the bolt and inside the bolt carrier, and a dental style carbon pick for cleaning the bolt’s ejector area and other hard-to-reach parts of the weapon.
CLEAN WITH ACCURACY AND SPEED
The MP1-AR features a magnetic bit driver which accepts standard sized bits and is accompanied by a bit set that includes flat, Phillips, hex and Torx bits commonly needed for adjusting optics and accessories. The bit set also includes a front sight adjustment tool for iron sights and a pin punch for trigger assemblies. Also found on the tool are full-size serrated and fine edge blades, and spring loaded jaws made of forged steel, providing the ultimate in jaw strength. The MP1-AR also includes a MOLLE compatible coyote nylon sheath. Proudly built in Portland, OR.
This is my go too multi tool for when out in the field and the time comes to perform maintenance on my weapon, also love the fact the pliers are spring loaded.
Drill bit set is very good as it has considerable reach and can be swapped out on the fly, Sheath even matches my plate carrier hahaha.
Great quality and has all the tools a soldier requires from a multi tool IMO.
Good Job Gerber
I have a MP1 that I am starting to review professionally and I agree with the SGM, and the CPT, the MP1 is a solid tool for use with the AR15. The fact it comes with a separate bit pouch built into the sheath is a nice feature. Being able to attach it to molle webbing is a nice feature. Only 1 thing I miss is a castle nut wrench. But with the screwdriver and a rock you can make a castle nut lock down. Adapt and overcome. I also love the spring loaded pliers, helps with hand fatigue
It has a front sight post adjuster "Blaine". you get a 0 for attention to detail. Drop and give me 20.
I have been given a pre-prod model for real life field testing. It's a sturdy and solid tool and all of the implements are actually useful, not like some tools from other more obscure manufacturers.
Also, it exudes quality and attention to detail is second to none. Highly recommended.
Big thumbs up.
